A gust of wind blew by walking pedestrians. A couple people waved, knowing it was their fierce hero Sonic. The hedgehog had been running since five in the morning, trying to work up his stamina. It was currently 12:37.
"LOOK, MOMMY!" a little boy yelled as Sonic sped by, "A NEW MOVIE IS OUT!"
This caught Sonic's attention immediately; it'd been a hot minute since he had seen a new movie. Within the second Sonic was back to where the kid was, in front of the theater.
SPEED
Sonic read the name of the movie, the main actor was none other than Keanu Reeves. Stars lit in the boy's eyes before rushing off. A while later and the sound of knocking filled the empty air.
"What do you want, Faker..." Shadow mumbled upon opening the door.
Sonic smiled, "I have something to tell you~!"
"No." Shadow replied before slamming the door shut.
Sonic tried again, this time knocking several times faster than the first time. Shadow opened the door again after a few seconds, groaning.
"Please?" Sonic asked with puppy eyes.
Shadow, being the grumpy self he was, slapped his forehead in annoyance, "Once you're done you'll leave me be?"
"Mhm!"
"...UGHH- FINE! What is it..?"
Sonic cleared his throat, "Knock knock-"
"No."
SLAM!
"BOOOOO!" Sonic yelled loudly before knocking again.
"OH MY FUCKING-"
"Knock knock!" Sonic repeated the second Shadow opened his door again.
There was silence as Sonic batted his eyes. With a heavy sigh, the edge lord rubbed the bridge of his nose.
"Knock knock!" Sonic repeated a third time.
Shadow growled at this, but answered, "Yes..?"
"Noooo~ you have to say 'Who's there?' Try again!" Sonic smiled as Shadow's eye twitched. "Knock knock!"
"... Who's there..?"
"When, where!"
"When, where, who?"
"Tonight, movies, you and I?"
Soft breezes filled the empty air that hung dry. No way did he just do all of this as a way to ask Shadow out...
"Are you fucking-"
"Speed, the main actor is Keanu Reeves; I'll pick you up in a couple hours!" Sonic interrupted with an eye wink and finger gun.
A rough wind blew leaves into Shadow's quills as Sonic left. He mumbled something to himself about not knowing who Keanu was before closing the door.
