WINTER'S POV

ITS SHORT I'M SORRY

It's been a few weeks since I came back home and have been staying with my mom again. It's weird, not having the same routine I had for so long. I've continued to use our city pool every morning, needing that one part of my schedule that I couldn't give up.

Louie has found an apartment for the summer, not able to go back home ever since she left her family. She has two jobs, working as a lifeguard and continuing to do swim lessons at a new facility. She seems to genuinely enjoy it, thank the gods.

Only twenty minutes away and no school in the way, we can hang out more than if we were to have gone long distance. Of course, we aren't hanging out as much as we used to, but we still Facetime and find time to meet up as much as we can. She also began joining me a couple times a week during my morning swims since she woke up one morning and realized that she needed something to help her wake up and she's still adjusting to not going to practice every morning.

To not hold each other back, we didn't talk about what colleges we were planning on going to, deciding to tell each other at the same time. We didn't want to alter each other's future path, even though it would be hard. We knew we could handle long distance.

It all worked out when we told each other the colleges we were going to, finding out that we ended up picking colleges only an hour and a half apart. California is now going to be our new home for the next four years and we are going to be able to find time together.

Matt and his girlfriend are going  to the same college as Louie, which means she'll have people around her, too.

"You are going to make friends. Don't worry. You are so nice, they'll love you," she says, trying to be genuine but we both know that's not true. I can still be just as bitchy as I was in high school. I'll try to be better, though, because I am desperate.

"You are not helping. I am scared," I tell her, freaking out about leaving to be on my own and in a new place in just a few months.

"What?! I can totally help distract you." She grins, walking closer to me and straddling me as I lay on my bed.

She kisses me and I forget all about the nerves I have about my future. With my beautiful lover girl above me, she assures me how she will always be a few towns away and has a car, and reminds me that we both have phones that can call and text each other in seconds.

She tells me how much she loves me as she's inside me and kissing me, telling me what she loves about me in between each one.

"Winter. You are so fucking beautiful, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. I've found peace and I'm going to stick with you."

"Louie Monroe, I love you so much."

One day, I will marry this woman and buy a house with her. We will grow wrinkles together and I will love her forever.

A/N: NO WAY IS THIS ALREADY OVER :(

I love you all so much and i hope you stick around for my next book, whenever that happens!!

I'll give plot ideas in the next part don't worry.
