Chapter 27

Nella laid in bed staring at the movie. "Are you getting this?"

Jane shook her head while eating some popcorn.

"You look like you're getting it," Nella claimed. Then she sighed. She lifted up the covers and exposed her bare legs.

"Woot, woot. Sexy naman nyan oh," Jane bobbed her eyebrows up and down when Nella got out of the bed.

"Hey, behave. Hindi na nga ako pinapatahimik kaka-isip nung pag-halik mo sakin kanina noh," Nella finally admitted.

Jane grinned. "Talaga? Dalawa lang yan eh, either it was so good or so bad na you can't stop thinking about it. So which one is it?"

Nella rolled her eyes and avoided Jane's stare, so she sat on the bed with her back against her.

"Huy," Jane crawled towards her. "Was it bad?"

Nella felt embarrassed. "Maybe? Pero hindi para sakin, para sayo."

"Ha?" Jane sat to the side of her with her legs crossed. She peeked to see Nella's face. "Ako lang naman makakapag-sabi kung bad ba or good yung kiss for my experience, hindi ikaw."

Nella sighed. "You got over it so quickly nga oh, I can tell na it's not your first time. Parang wala lang sayo. Samantalang ako, I'm all hung up about it because ikaw ang first kiss ko."

Jane laughed.

This made Nella's face burn in embarrassment. "You don't have to rub it in my face," she turned her head away feeling slightly offended by Jane's laughter.

"Sino ba kasing nag-sabi sayo na hindi ko toh first time? Nag-assume ka lang eh. Tsaka sino ba may sabi na I'm not hung up about it like you? Eh mababaliw na nga ako sa kakaisip eh. Ang hirap i-tago, kanina ko pa pinipigilan yung pag-ngisi ko kasi baka ma-weirdohan ka sakin. Dinidistract ko na nga lang sarili ko sa pinapanood natin pero wala eh, yung utak ko nandun pa din sa pag-kiss natin," Jane admitted.

"Weh," Nella felt a little better even though she was skeptical about what Jane just told her.

"Totoo nga. Nella, you're my first kiss. Promise. Mamatay man ako," Jane swore.

"Hey," Nella pouted. "Don't say things like that."

"I'm sorry. Ikaw kasi eh, hindi ka naniniwala sakin," Jane looked at her. "And just to make things clear, it was good—really, really, really good."

Nella slowly turned her head to face her. "Are you sure?"

"I've never been so sure in my life, Nella." Jane smiled. "Ikaw ba? How was the kiss for you?"

Nella blushed. "Yung totoo?"

"Oh my gosh, parang kinakabahan ako sa isasagot mo," Jane could feel her heart pounding inside her chest.

"It was too quick to tell," Nella let out a little laugh.

Jane was taken aback. "Totoo ba?"

Nella bit her lip and nodded. "It was literally a smack, but judging from that smack, okay naman sya."

"'Okay?'" Jane repeated. "Sakin 'really really really good' tapos sayo 'okay?' Eh shet na malagket, tatlong really yung sa akin tapos sayo isang 'okay' lang? It must be really bad then," she wanted to disappear off the face of the earth. She thought it was extremely embarrassing for Nella to think that their kiss was just "okay".

Nella lifted one leg up from the floor and into the bed. Then she leaned back with both her hands supporting her on the mattress. "How about you show me again, but this time make it last long enough for me to decide?"
