"Scary? Bakit naman scary? Do you have a fear of the unknown?" Nella teased.
Jane nodded. "Syempre may fear kahit papano. Bakit ikaw? Hindi ka ba takot sa unknown?"
Nella shrugged. "My worst fear already happened. Kaya anything that comes—I don't know, but I feel like hindi ako dapat nagsasalita ng tapos."
"So may fear pa rin kahit papano?" Jane asked.
Nella nodded. "Siguro. Oo. I think so."
"Is that your final answer?" Jane teased.
Nella giggled. "Ayoko kasi sabihin na hindi ako natatakot. Mamaya ma-jinx ko yung sarili ko."
Jane nodded. "Fair enough."
"Alam mo kung ano pa yung para ring ocean?" Nella snickered.
"Ano?" Jane was curious.
"Yung mga usapan natin lately," Nella chuckled.
"Oo nga. Bakit nga ba?" Jane laughed.
"I honestly don't know," Nella answered truthfully.
"Eto na lang," Jane faced her. "Considering the situation: meaning the climate, the time, yung suot and mga gamit na dala natin—anong something na gusto mong gawin or ma-experience right here, right now?" Jane asked specifically.
"Hm," Nella tried to think while looking around the beach. "You see those tide pools over there?" She pointed at the group of rocks where the waves continued to pound on.
"Yeah?" Jane waited for more.
"I've always wanted to take a picture on top of that tallest rock," Nella told her.
Jane frowned. "Ibig mo sabihin gusto mong akyatin yang mga bato-bato na yan para lang makapagpa-picture sa pinaka-tuktok?" Her eyes widened.
"Yup," Nella smiled innocently.
"May pagka-daredevil ka bang babae ka?" Jane thought Nella was crazy.
"Maybe?" Nella winked at her. "So are we going over there and do it o were you just asking? Were you planning on actually doing kung ano man yung sinagot ko sa tanong mo kanina?"
Jane was relieved. She thought it was a good thing that she asked first. That gave her an excuse to think twice before she agrees to her friend's crazy idea. "Nagtatanong lang," she giggled nervously.
Nella laughed. "I thought so."
"Seryoso ba? Aakyat ka dyan? Alam mo naman siguro kung bakit may pagka-green yung mga bato na yan diba? That's moss growing on those rocks, and they're slippery as hell," Jane pointed towards the tide pools.
"Uhuh. I'm up for the challenge. Ikaw ba?" Just as Nella asked this, a huge wave crashed on the rocks.
Jane saw Nella's eyes widened. "Ano? Game ka pa? Aakyat ka pa rin sa rock covered moss na yan para magpapicture?"
Nella shrugged. "Maybe?"
"Naku, Lord, may sayad yata tong binigay mo saking kaibigan," Jane complained.
Nella laughed. "You asked. Sinagot ko lang yung tanong mo."
Jane shook her head. "Parang nagsisisi ako na sinuggest ko yung mag-lista ka ng mga adventures na gusto mong gawin ah. Mukhang mapapasubo yata ako neto. The monster truck should have given it away," she inhaled and filled her mouth with as much air as she could before she exhaled.
"Sweetie, first of all, ang pagkakaintindi ko eh yung listahan would be activities we both want to do, hindi lang yung gusto ko gawin. Syempre dapat yung approve nating dalawa. Second, if you don't know by now, I'm not going to make you do anything na hindi ka comfortable gawin lalo pa kung ikapapahamak mo," Nella felt the need to set the record straight.
