"Ay sus, ayaw mo lang pumasok eh. Kapag ba pinagbigyan kita ngayon na mag-ditch, mamimihasa ka in the future?" Jane raised an eyebrow.
"Is that what you think of me, Jane Napoleon?" Nella held her chest and let out a subtle but exaggerated gasp.
"Eh kasi alam mo namang hindi kita matiis. Mamaya nyan mamihasa ka," Jane crossed her arms by her chest.
"Hoy, excuse me po. Hindi po ako ganun," Nella copied Jane's gesture and turned her head away from her.
Jane sighed. Then she started pulling out of the school's parking lot.
Nella's eyes widened with excitement. "No way."
"Ginusto mo toh, diba? Request mo toh eh. Bahala kang di mapakali dyan kasi absent ka today," Jane snickered while driving towards the school's parking lot exit.
"Hindi nga ako nag-think twice na mag-ditch noon para sayo eh," Nella reminded her.
"So you're living a wild life now, huh? Ngayon pa talagang senior year? Aba, hindi ko alam na may side pala si Nella na ganyan," Jane teased.
"Bakit? Ayaw mo?" Nella challenged.
"May sinabi ba ako?" Jane smirked while she kept her eyes on the road.
"Eh yun naman pala eh. And besides, it IS our senior year. I've been good for three years, let me have fun on our last year of high school. You already had your fun, I need to have mine," Nella stuck her tongue out at Jane who was now laughing at her.
"Sabagay. And now's the perfect time to screw around kasi once we get started sa pag-apply sa mga colleges, wala na. Party's over. Daming kelangan gawin, nakaka-stress kahit iniisip ko pa lang," Jane sighed after.
Nella reached for her hand and gave it a kiss. This made Jane smile. "Mahal kita, alam mo ba yun?" Nella asked her.
Jane looked at her. "'Wag mokong tingnan ng ganyan, nagda-drive ako."
Nella laughed. "I just—I don't know, Jane. I adore you so much, you have no idea."
"Kaw ha, kaka-reklamo ko lang dahil sa stress sa school tapos adore mo pa din ako?" Jane reminded her.
"Eh wala eh. Hot ka when you're stressed, hot ka when you're calm. So san ko ilulugar sarili ko?" Nella grinned.
"Di ba pwedeng sa puso ko na lang?" Jane said. Then the two of them burst out laughing.
"Ang cheesy natin, pwede na tayo ilagay sa taas ng spaghetti or sa pizza," Jane snorted.
Nella laughed with her. "Nagutom tuloy ako."
"Gutom na ang baby?" Jane reached for Nella's chin and cupped it with her hand while she caressed it. "Teka, kumain ka ba ng breakfast?"
"Lagi naman ako kumakain ng breakfast. Ikaw ba?" Nella returned the question.
"May baon akong protein bar sa bag ko," Jane informed her.
Nella rolled her eyes. "Dakilang PB ka talaga. Protein bar na naman. Hindi man lang peanut butter sandwich. Yung peanut butter sa Flipino store, masarap yun. Mas filling pa. Bakit di na lang yun ang baonin mo kesa yang protein bar na yan?"
"Eh individually packed na kasi yung protein bar. Wala na rin akong time gumawa ng sandwich sa umaga," Jane reasoned.
"Kasi late ka na gumigising," Nella filled in for her.
"Eh—oo," Jane answered hesitantly.
"Pag ba ginawan kita ng sandwich, kakainin mo?" Nella looked at her.
