"Liv?" I knock on the door.

"What?" I hear her answering from the other side but not inviting me to come in.

I respect that, so I just talk from the other side."I'm gonna go to the gym." I inform her even though I know she couldn't care less right now.

"OK."

I take a moment. "Please talk to me when I get back."

"I'll think about it." She flatly answers.

I sigh before turning away and stopping before the stairs. I take my phone out of my shorts and open my contacts, searching for Charles.

My heart races as I make my way downstairs. I know we only met three days ago, I do! But... I can't shake the feeling that there's something special about him. His smile, the way he moves, how he talks... it all makes me feel like I've known him forever.

I grab my bag from the floor where I left it. I just need to add some water and a towel. I hurry in adding them before heading out, not forgetting the keys.

I just fought with Olive an hour ago about how I'm getting too close to him and I'm going out with him right now. Pretty shitty of me.

But the argument honestly wasn't about him. It was just a cover up for the real issue. The real issue I'm escaping right now by going to work out.

I'm going to talk to her again. I promise. I just need to gather my thoughts for a while and give her some time to herself too.

As I step out into the morning air, there he is, leaning casually against the wall, dressed in his workout gear. He looks over and grins when he sees me. "Ready for your first session at the best gym in Monaco?"

I smile back, feeling a flutter in my chest. "Lead the way."

The gym isn't far, just a short walk from here. As we walk, we talk a little and I really appreciate the fact that he hasn't brought up this morning.

I literally cried in his embrace. He tried to comfort me, which worked for a moment but his soft hands and calming voice aren't just going to make me okay about everything.

He tried to know what's wrong but I wouldn't tell him. He let it go and just held me, his hands around me.

We arrive at the gym, a modern building with glass walls that reveal rows of state-of-the-art equipment inside.
