The group spent the next few days getting everything ready for Bea's birthday party.

They made sure every station was set up perfectly, with all the necessary materials and props needed for the games. They also spent time decorating the areas to make them look special for the occasion.

Every day, they'd check in with each other, making sure everyone was clear on their responsibilities, and that there were no last-minute surprises.

Nancy had set up a makeshift shooting range. There were multiple targets placed at various heights and distances. Each target had been painted with a different point value, ranging from 1 to 5 points. A wall behind each target acted as a backstop to catch the paintballs.

There was also a small platform where the players could stand and shoot. An array of paintball markers and paintball guns rested on a table nearby, ready for use.

For the next station, the group had decided to make a special piñata for Bea. They named it "Punctured Memories."

Frypan was in charge of creating the structure of the piñata. He used colorful construction paper, along with some string, tape, and balloons to build a round shape. It was big enough to fit quite a few items inside.

Meanwhile, Thèrèse found old photo albums. She and Vicky looked through them, choosing the most significant and cherished pictures of them with Bea.

Minho and Gally had spent hours preparing station three, which they had named "Soak City." This station was a water gun war zone.

They had set up multiple water gun stations, each with a different color. There were barrels of water nearby to refill the guns, and plenty of cover and obstacles to take advantage of.

The water guns weren't filled with regular water but instead with water of three distinctive colors: brown, pink, and blue, which were all some of Bea's favorite colors.

The final touch was adding a large, life-sized dummy. It was positioned in the middle of the Soak City, standing upright. Minho and Gally had made it themselves, using old clothes and a few other materials to give it a dummy-like appearance.

Aris was ready for his station, which was a surprise game of mathematics and number riddles.

He had spent hours and hours creating the game and was confident in his work. The game was a series of logical questions and riddles. Each one was designed to lead to the next question or hint, ultimately leading the player to the fifth and final station.

Aris knew that Bea loved math, so he had also incorporated her favourite subject into the game.

Meanwhile, Aris and Thèrèse were busy setting up a makeshift mailbox at the fifth station. Using some plywood and colorful paints, they had crafted a vibrant and eye-catching mailbox. It was just big enough to hold the final hint they were going to write down.

Thèrèse carefully wrote the answer to the last question on a piece of paper and placed it inside the mailbox. They made sure to place it in a spot that was visible but not obvious.

Aris and Thèrèse stood back, admiring their work.

"I can't wait to see her face when she figures out each answer," Aris said with a smile.

Thèrèse nodded in agreement. "She's going to love it, especially if she gets to the end and realizes it all led her to the final station."

Vince, Jorge, and Vivian, the adults in the group, had been working separately from the rest of the group, secretly planning a special station for Bea that they had titled, "A Blast from the Past."
