Lamar's pov:

I got to Destiny's house twenty minutes ago and we both haven't said a thing to each other.

I guess the guilt is finally kicking in for me, I cheated and lied to Destiny for the past year and also in that time I've managed to not only cheat but I've also been intentionally hurting Trell.

"You wanted to talk." Destiny said dragging me out of my thoughts.

"Why did you tell my mother I was cheating on you?" I asked seeing the surprise on her face.

Logically I know I'm  the one in the wrong but for Trell's safety I have to know if she suspects anything.

"You've been distant since Jamaica, I hardly see you and the last time I tried posting a picture of us on Instagram you blew up on me." She said voice trembling with emotion.

Fuck I did this,I coursed this paranoia , I hurt her and I know what I'm here to say will only hurt her more.

"If you don't trust me after our years together, if my needing of space has you this paranoid maybe we should end this."

"What are you saying?" She asked tearing up.

"I love you but if you felt like I was cheating you should've came to me." I said seriously and she nodded.

"I know baby, it won't happen again I promise. I'm sorry." She sobbed pulling at my hand.

I should be the one begging and apologizing not the other way around, I really fucked up.

"I need a break....no we both need a break." I said putting it out there.

She let out a body shaking sob doubling over on the bed.

I reached out and wrapped my arms around her feeling her shake.

"I'm sorry." I whispered into her hair.

"Get out." She mumbled shoving me away.

I'm not even mad at that.

"I love you and really didn't mean to hurt you." I said before leaving her room and her house all together.

8:45pm.

I hissed feeling the hot water turn cold, I've been standing under the shower for what feels like an hour.

"Come out the shower Lamar." I heard a familiar  muffled voice from behind my bathroom door.

I wrapped myself in a towel and walked into my closet, putting on a t-shirt and sweatpants before walking into my bedroom

"Your father told me you were thinking of ending things with Destiny." She said

"It already done Ma."

"How did she take it?"

My mind flashed back to her sobbing on her bed.

"As well as expected." I said with a shrugging.

"I hope for your sake you don't come to regret your decision."

"I won't I love him and he loves me, if I was happy I wouldn't have cheated."

"If you were that unhappy you should've ended things with her first but because you're a coward you chested." She hissed.

I know what I did was wrong but I also know my mother is projecting right now, I'm old enough to remember the shouting matches she would have with my father over his cheating.
