Time skip.
Five months later:
The baby is already born.
🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿Lamar's POV:
Four months ago Destiny gave birth to a beautiful chocolate baby boy, Isaiah Washington, I never knew I could love someone as much as I love Jamir but little man has all of my heart.
Jamir bought us a six bedroom house with a big back yard in a school district.
"I wonder where your dada is." I said to Isaiah picking him up, he just cutely blinked up at me with his thumb in his mouth.
"You don't know either, right."
Isaiah lives with us, Destiny has postpartum psychosis the diagnosis caught us by surprise, she had a healthy natural birth, she was discharged from the hospital after two days and she was fine.
A week later she had locked herself in the bathroom, screaming about people trying to steal Isaiah, she became a danger to herself and Isaiah so her parents had her committed to a wellness centre, I don't know whether she'll come out as the Destiny I know or someone else all together.
Her parents tried to fight me to keep him with them but my husband who's not my husband but is my husband pulled some strings and got me full custody.
"Grace can you put him down for me." We have a live in nanny, a sweet older lady who's been an absolute godsend.
Having her here helped us navigate the first few weeks of having a new born in the house, she understands what every little cry means, she's a whole walking talking baby dictionary.
"Of course, baby, give him here." I handed Isaiah over to her.
"I still can't believe y'all have a baby." Jason said.
"Me neither....but I'm so happy, we both are."
"I can see that, I'm glad you have help, cause you know how niggas can be."
Shit, I know men who've denied their own seed, I know how lucky I am to have someone who loves my child like he came from him.
"I know, I think about that shit everyday."
"Do you know how Destiny is doing." He asked.
"I don't know her people are quiet about the whole thing, I tried talking to her mum but she blames me for her break down, like I knew she had an undiagnosed mantel illness."
"That's cold, I can ask my mum to talk to her." He suggested.
"Naw." I said waving him off.
I don't want to be accused of spreading family secrets.
He nodded, "Do you know where Jamir is."
I mentally rolled my eyes, Jason loves asking questions we can't just have a normal conversation.
"Work I'm guessing." I said with a shrug.
I noticed a few weeks ago he wasn't coming home regularly but that's expect with his job.
He works a little to hard for my liking, I selfishly want him at home every single day but I understand we need money, diapers and formula are not cheap.
"Shouldn't you know."
"I should but I don't have to know where he is all the time, he's a grown man he doesn't need to report his movements to me."
"Do you think he would ever cheat on you." He asked.
I laughed at the question, the thought of Jamir cheating on me is laughable.
