Lamar's POV:

It took Mr Nyong'o only a few hours to track down the two man that shot up the meeting Jamir was in.

I should've have known how cruel he was from all the stories I've had but to  witness it up close was something else all together.

One of the man didn't make it to the basement, he was shot and killed by the trackers.

The one that made it was unrecognisable after Mr Nyong'o was done with him.

He ripped his finger nails out before dunking his bloody hands in boiling water, once he got all the information he needed out of him, he proceeded to dismember his body.

That's the part he had me and Jackson help him with, in all my nineteen years on this earth I never thought I would hold down a person while they got butchered alive.

There was so much blood.

The sound of the Saw blades going through his bones is something I think will stay with me for the rest of my life but I don't regret taking part in it, for Jamir I would do it a thousand times over.

"How's Jamir." Jason asked pulling me from my thoughts, I instantly frowned thinking about the man I've been avoiding since he woke up.

"I don't know." I said

I haven't seen or spoken to anyone from his family in two weeks.

I just can't bring myself to be around him.

"What do you mean you don't know, nigga that's your boyfriend if anyone outside of his family should know it should be you."

"Well it's not."

"I know you didn't have a fall out, so what's going on." He asked.

I sighed, "I'm scared, scared of loving him with everything I have and losing him to the streets, I don't want him to leave the family business but if we stay together is this going to be my life, what happens when we have kids."

Am I ready to for the sleepless nights, worrying about his life and safety everytime he leaves the house, I don't know how my mother does it.

"So are you just going to walk away."

"I don't know."

"Then what, that man loves you it's in the way he looks at you, the way he talks to you, do you want to lose that because you're scared."

I've never allowed fear to stop me from doing something before but I think because I genuinely love Jamir that fear is crippling.

He continued, "you love him I know that much, just call him."

I took my phone out of my pocket, powering it on.

As soon as it's turned on, notifications started coming in.

Jamir👽:

32 missed calls.

Jackson:

12 missed calls.

Trell:

5 missed calls.

"I can only imagine how he felt when he woke up and you were not there."

Me too.

I called his number.

"Tell me if you are tired of me already." His deep voice said through the speaker.

I took a shaky breath before answering trying to compose myself.
