Lamar's POV:
"Jamir Nyong'o?" Jackson said to the receptionist, she searched her computer.
During the three hour drive here I kept calling his phone, hoping he would pick up that it wasn't that serious but every call went unanswered, every text unread.
"Relation?" She asked still typing away on her computer.
"Brother."
Please just say he's fine.
"He's still in theatre." She said, " go down the hall and you'll find the waiting area and as soon as he's out of theatre we'll let you know."
He said he was going to be fine, he would be back before I got the chance to miss him and I believed him with how he's living his life will always be in danger.
We quickly walked down the hall following her directions.
Mr Nyong'o and his sister were already in there waiting.
"What happened?" He asked walking to his sister.
"We were in a meeting with the Genovese brothers the hit was meant for them from what I could tell but you know bullets have no names." She explained emotionless.
If I didn't know that was her twin in that theatre I would think she was talking about some stranger.
I took a deep breathe stepping out from the back, "What is the prognosis." I asked voice rough with emotions.
She turned towards me, I watched her face go from confused to pissed in a matter of seconds.
"What the fuck are you doing here." She hissed.
"I-i...." I stuttered.
"Nah little nigga don't stutter now, how did you even know my son was in the hospital, did your father do this." Mr Nyong'os voice boomed.
No one except for the for the people we were at the lake house with know about us, so I understand the hostility with our families history.
"Dad, I told him." Jackson said standing in front of me shielding me from his father.
"What reason would you have for tell him our family business, have you lost your mind."
"They are dating, pops."
"No, Jamir wouldn't do that he wouldn't bring a snake into my house." He angrily said.
I'm not a snake and I've only been to their house once, Jamir doesn't even live there anymore but I guess they haven't noticed.
"Well he did, you can ask him yourself when get's out of surgery, now I would like to also now my brother's prognosis."
Amaya let out a deep sigh, "It doesn't look good, one bullet went through and through but the other one hit some of his organs which caused internal bleeding, we have to wait for the surgery to end to find out more."
Surgery is a good thing that means the doctors think they can save him.
"Can I stay." I whispered behind Jackson.
I guess Mr Nyong'o heard me because he cut his eyes at us, "You knew all this time and didn't think to tell me."
"It wasn't my place."
"Have you forgotten who we are." His voice lowered dangerously.
"No."
The rage in his eyes darkness, " but you didn't think to inform me that your brother had the son of the man who's tried to kill me in more than one occasion in his bed."
