Dontrell' POV:
"What now, you know his obsessed with you right?" Tisha asked.
"Mhmm." I hummed watching him walk out of the dinning hall.
I still don't understand how someone who claims to love you could be so cruel to you, a part of me wants to know what I did to deserve such cruelty.
Contrary to popular belief I still love him, I can't just stop loving him I need time just like I needed time to start loving him.
"You good Trell?" Joaquin asked, I could hear the worry in his voice.
"Yea, shit just feels like deja vu high School all over again."
" Just tell Jackson." Chante suggested.
"Jackson doesn't own the university telling him won't do shit but escalate the situation in the only direction two egotistical alpha males can take it."
"The nigga is stalking you if a beating from Jackson gets him to stop so be it." Tisha said.
"You can't keep protecting him." Joaquin said.
I'm not not protecting him, I just don't want another fight in my name.
"You guys know he apologized, maybe we are just over reacting. Let's wait it out if he comes anywhere near me I won't hesitate to tell Jackson."
"Fine but if you don't tell him I will " Tisha threatened.
"Can we talk about something else." I said.
"We love you and want you to continue to be safe and loved, but let's talk about this dinner you are going to tonight."
I blushed thinking about how nervous Jackson was when he told me his dad wanted to meet me.
"I'm nervous, it's a huge step in our relationship and we haven't even established what we are." I said honestly.
We decided to give us a try and it been almost three months now but we haven't established whether or not we are exclusive or what.
"I think this dinner is proof enough of what he wants this relationship to be."
I smiled at that.
"Are you meeting only the parents?"
"I'm meeting his older sister and brother too so the whole family."
"I like this for you.... I like him for you."
I like him for me too.
"It's so weird though, it's like everything I've wanted in a relationship is happening but a part of me keeps waiting for the other shoe to drop you know, at the back of my head I'm already preparing for the worst case scenario." I said with shrug.
"It's understandable to feel like that when you take into consideration your past relationship, it's okay to be on survival mode but you have to deal with it head on, you can't keep projecting your past relationship into this one." Tisha said.
"She right." Chante commented.
"I need to go home and get ready for tonight." I informed the group.
"You better call me after the dinner I want all the tea." Tisha said.
I nodded, truthfully I just wanted to get out of the dinning Hall, it feels like everytime we hang out we have to me talking about my problems, it can get overwhelming.
I just hope tonight goes well.
