With Wesley

Wesley winced as he dressed, his shoulder still aching from the recent injury. With a resigned sigh, he headed outside and climbed into his Mustang GT 500 Super Snake. The powerful engine roared to life as he started it, and just as he was about to pull away, his radio crackled to life.

"7-Adam-15, in pursuit of a red Jeep, heading south on Vine," Bishop's voice came through, urgent and tense.

Wesley muttered, "John," under his breath. He quickly backed out of the driveway and accelerated down the road, the adrenaline kicking in despite his lingering pain.

As he sped through the streets, his phone rang, and he saw Andersen's name on the display. Answering with the push of a button, he kept his eyes on the road. "Hey, honey," he greeted.

Andersen's voice was slightly teasing. "Honey? I don't usually call me that. You usually go with babe or baby. What's the occasion?"

Wesley shrugged, even though she couldn't see him. "No reason, babe... you know, stuff."

He reached for his radio, his other hand steadying the wheel. "Control, this is Officer Wesley Wick, badge number 34587. Clock me in for a pursuit with 7-Adam-15. I'm in the area." He set the radio down, focusing on the road ahead.

Andersen chuckled over the line. "You do realize you could've just told me, and I would've clocked you in."

Wesley sighed, guilt tugging at him. "I know, I'm sorry."

The radio crackled again, this time with Bishop's voice. "7-Adam-15, in pursuit of a red Jeep, heading up into the Hollywood Hills. Requesting backup and airship."

Wesley picked up the radio. "7-Adam-15, Officer Wick here. I see your unit. I'm right behind you, providing backup."

"Thanks for the assist, Wick," Bishop replied, relief evident in her tone.

Wesley suddenly remembered Andersen was still on the line. "I'm sorry, babe. I wanted to meet you in your office for at least one kiss, but it looks like I'm already clocked in."

Andersen's voice softened. "It's fine. Though I'm disappointed. It would've been nice to see you."

Wesley sighed. "I know. I'll radio in and keep you updated, okay? I promise I'll let you know I'm safe."

"Thank you," Andersen replied. "Be careful. Bye."

The call ended, and Wesley focused back on the pursuit. He floored the gas, pulling up alongside the police car in front of him. He glanced over to see John and Bishop inside, giving them a quick wave before shifting gears and surging ahead.

With precision, Wesley executed a PIT maneuver, ramming the red Jeep from the side. The Jeep spun out, skidding to a halt. Wesley slammed on the brakes, his car screeching to a stop. He quickly jumped out, gun drawn, and shouted, "Police! Get out of the car! Driver, step away from the vehicle! Show me your hands!"

John and Bishop were right behind him, guns trained on the Jeep. The door slowly opened, and to their surprise, a woman in a wedding dress stumbled out.

Bishop barked, "Get on the ground!"

But instead of complying, the woman bolted. Wesley threw his hands up in exasperation. "Seriously?"

Bishop smirked. "Go get her, Boots."

Wesley shut his car door and took off after the woman, John following close behind. As he ran, he radioed in, "Control, this is Officer Wesley Wick, in foot pursuit of a white female, approximately 5'8", wearing a wedding dress, heading towards the Hollywood sign. Over."
