When Wesley Wick, a former assassin, was caught in a bank robbery with his half-brother, John Nolan, Wesley and John decided to become police officers afterward, even though Wesley was a known assassin. They both joined the LAPD as police officers.
Wesley and Lucy were heading out of the house, ready to pick up John and Jackson for a day out. They climbed into KITT, and Wesley greeted the car.
"Hey, KITT."
"Good evening, Wesley. Hello, Lucy. What's on the agenda today?" KITT responded smoothly.
"We're about to meet up with John and Jackson for a day out together," Wesley said. "So, we'll need you to switch to 4x4 mode."
"Understood. Preparing for transformation," KITT announced.
Wesley and Lucy exchanged pleased smiles as they watched the car seamlessly change. The vehicle elevated and transformed into a rugged truck, ready for their adventure.

"Transformation complete," KITT confirmed.
Wesley grinned and said, "Looks awesome. I've always loved this truck, KITT."
As Wesley admired KITT's new truck mode, Lucy couldn't help but notice the excitement in his eyes.
"Looks like someone's pretty thrilled about the truck mode," Lucy said with a playful grin.
Wesley chuckled, his eyes still gleaming with enthusiasm. "You know me too well. There's something about driving a truck that just makes me feel invincible."
KITT chimed in, "It's not just about the look, Wesley. The 4x4 mode provides enhanced stability and traction, perfect for today's terrain."
Wesley nodded approvingly. "Exactly. Plus, it's always fun to switch things up. Thanks, KITT."
Lucy leaned in, teasingly adding, "I think KITT's enjoying the compliment. You both make quite the dynamic duo."
KITT's voice carried a hint of amusement. "Your affection is noted, Lucy. I am pleased to be of service."
Wesley grinned, giving KITT a light pat on the dashboard. "Let's get going. We've got a day to enjoy and some friends to pick up."
With that, they set off, Wesley behind the wheel of the newly transformed truck, excitement evident in every turn of the wheel.
Later
At night
Wesley was driving the group to Jackson's apartment for their day out, and night had fallen by the time they arrived.
He pulled up in front of Jackson's apartment building and said, "Okay, here we are," as he parked KITT.
KITT's dashboard orb shifted colors as it spoke. "I hope you have enjoyed your ride."
