With Wesley

At the station

Wesley and Lucy, both in their uniforms, walked into the station, side by side. As they entered, they spotted Nolan and Jackson.

"Hey, guys," Nolan greeted with a smile.

"Hey," Wesley replied.

Nolan raised an eyebrow, grinning. "You seem a bit... chipper."

Wesley flashed a confident smile. "Why wouldn't I be? I'm about to get my buddy back."

Nolan looked confused, glancing between them. Lucy chuckled, stepping in to explain. "He's getting a call any minute now to go pick up KITT from the SSC. Nora, Mason, and I have been dealing with mopey Michael Knight over here, but now that KITT's coming back, he's all sunshine and rainbows."

Wesley gave a half-hearted shrug. "Hey, you know how much KITT means to me."

Lucy smirked playfully. "Oh, I do. But I'm starting to wonder if you love KITT more than you love your family."

Nolan laughed, surprised. "Wow. Didn't expect to hear that today!"

Wesley's eyes widened as he glanced at Lucy, trying to hold back a grin. "Hey, now, that's not fair," he said, putting up his hands defensively. "You know I love you and the twins more than anything."

Lucy raised an eyebrow, her smirk growing. "Oh, really? Because I've seen you kiss KITT's roof more times than you kiss me."

Nolan chuckled, clearly enjoying the banter. "She's got a point, man."

Wesley sighed dramatically. "That's just... car appreciation! It's like thanking him for getting me out of a sticky situation."

Lucy crossed her arms, teasing him further. "Right, because KITT saved your life in that trailer... and not your quick thinking or, I don't know, your fiancée backing you up."

Wesley pointed at her. "See? You just proved my point! I do love my family more. You were the one who saved me, not KITT. You're my real partner."

Lucy pretended to be convinced. "Hmm... alright, you're getting there."

Wesley leaned closer to her, lowering his voice with a playful grin. "How about this? Tonight, I'll prove just how much more I love you than that car."

Lucy tried to suppress a smile, nudging him playfully. "I'll hold you to that."

Nolan shook his head, laughing. "Well, looks like you've got yourself a full night ahead, Wesley."

Wesley chuckled. "Yeah, yeah. But first... I'm picking up my buddy."

Nolan laughed at that. "And there he goes. But I wanted to tell you guys something."

Lucy tilted her head, curious. "What's that?"

Nolan grinned. "I asked Grace over to my place for a... date."

Lucy's face lit up with excitement. "Really? That's great! So, what are you gonna cook for her?"

Nolan puffed up his chest a little. "Couple of big-ass steaks and a lovely baked potato."

The moment the words left his mouth, he noticed his three co-workers giving him a look. "What?" he asked, confused.

Jackson raised an eyebrow. "You do realize we're in LA, right? She's probably at least a pescatarian."

Lucy chimed in. "And she doesn't eat carbs."

Nolan looked flustered. "Wait, so... no potato?"

Wesley stifled a chuckle while Lucy shook her head. "Your safest bet is a kale salad with a nice piece of salmon."
