At Wesley's apartment

Wesley was brewing coffee after just finishing breakfast for himself and Lucy in the kitchen. The aroma of fresh coffee filled the air as he called out, "Honey! Breakfast is ready!" He rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the lingering sleepiness.

Lucy emerged from the bedroom, a playful smile on her face. "Is it the legendary Michael Knight omelets?" she asked, teasingly.

Wesley chuckled, setting a plate on the table. "Yep, with toast and hashbrowns, just the way you like it."

Lucy groaned in delight as she walked over to him. "I love you too much," she murmured, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him.

Wesley returned the kiss, a soft smile on his lips. "I love you too, more than anything," he said, his voice tender as he rubbed his eyes again.

Noticing his tiredness, Lucy gently cupped his face. "Oh no, is my handsome man feeling a little worn out?" she asked with a playful giggle.

Wesley nodded, leaning into her embrace. "Yeah, I didn't get much sleep last night."

Lucy rubbed his arm soothingly. "Don't worry. Maybe KITT can give you a little adrenaline boost again."

Wesley chuckled and shook his head. "No thanks. That didn't last long enough last time," he said, with a hint of amusement in his tired eyes.

Lucy smiled, her fingers gently tracing circles on Wesley's back as she held him close. "Then maybe you just need a little more rest," she suggested, her voice soft and caring.

Wesley sighed contentedly, resting his head on her shoulder. "Yeah, maybe. But I wanted to make sure you got breakfast before anything else. I know how much you love my cooking."

Lucy grinned and pulled back slightly to look into his eyes. "And I appreciate it, but I also care about you being well-rested. How about we eat together, and then you can take a quick nap? I'll take care of the dishes."

Wesley considered her offer, then nodded. "Deal. But only if you promise to wake me up with another kiss," he teased.

Lucy laughed softly. "Deal," she agreed, guiding him over to the table where their breakfast was waiting.

As they sat down, Lucy reached across the table and took Wesley's hand in hers. "You know, mornings like this... they're my favorite. Just us, some good food, and a little peace before the day starts."

Wesley squeezed her hand gently. "Mine too," he said warmly. "It's these moments that make everything worth it."

They ate together, sharing smiles and light conversation, the tiredness in Wesley's eyes gradually fading as he relaxed in the comfort of Lucy's presence. When they were done, Lucy insisted on cleaning up, gently shooing Wesley toward the couch.

"Go on, stretch out, and get some rest. I've got this," she said, her tone leaving no room for argument.

Wesley smiled gratefully and settled on the couch, closing his eyes as he listened to the sound of Lucy humming softly in the kitchen. Within moments, the soothing rhythm lulled him into a light sleep, a peaceful smile lingering on his lips.

A little while later, Lucy finished tidying up and walked over to where Wesley was resting. She leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead, just as she had promised. Wesley stirred, his eyes fluttering open to see her smiling down at him.

"Time to wake up, sleepyhead," she whispered.

Wesley reached up, pulling her down into a warm embrace. "Best wake-up call ever," he murmured, his voice still drowsy but filled with affection.
