"Corruption writes a course to calamity."Washington, D.C.
March, 2012VAY zipped down the hall, causing a few screams of shock and terror as she flew over SHIELD agents that probably hadn't seen her in a while. She ignored them as she entered the main control room, an open area with lots of office chairs and tables. She could hear Uncle Rumlow and Uncle Rollins running after her because she wasn't exactly supposed to stretch her wings here.
She glanced around, glad to see Director Fury was somewhere else at the time being. She didn't want her first– second– impression with Steve to be worse that it already had been. Vay wasn't dangerous until she was told to me, and she wouldn't ever be dangerous to Steve.
She remained in the air, happily surprised by the amount of sky circling them. They were in the air– high in the air– and Vay was almost tempted to exit the vehicle just to take a little circle around the entire place.
Her lips twitched upwards.
"Vay, get down here right now!" Uncle Rumlow's voice pierced the air and Vay huffed, but knew he meant business.
She dropped down to the main deck area, where Uncle Rumlow and Uncle Rollins were. Her eyes wandered to Steve, who was sitting at a long meeting table, looking at her with a curious expression. Vay waved at him before turning her eyes back to Uncle Rumlow.
He frowned at her.
"Rollins is talking to Fury which means you need to stay put and not give everyone on the ship a heart attack." Uncle Rumlow ordered sharply. "You know better than to misbehave."
Vay pursed her lips.
That was true, she did.
But she didn't like being confined in the little cell.
Effectively, Uncle Pierce had spoiled her by giving her endless access to the garden when no one was present in the mansion, and she only ever went into the room with the cell to sleep in it. After having so much freedom it was difficult for her not to fly around.
"So what are we on?" She asked. "Last time I checked SHIELD never had massive ships like these."
"Last time you were here was five years ago." Uncle Rumlow emphasized while giving her a look that said she was walking a thin line. "So yes, things are very fucking different now. And it's a helicarrier, by the way."
