"He's adopted?"???, Pacific Ocean
March, 2012"AH, so you are my brother's betrothed." Thor Odinson, son of Odin, the God of Thunder remarked as Vay walked alongside him in the hall.
Uncle Rumlow had left her to her own devices once she calmed down enough. She spent around fifteen minutes walking around with him before she decided to find Loki's brother in an effort to speak to him about Loki's current state of mind.
Thankfully, Thor actually seemed to be expecting her, as if he knew she had wings. It was another nice change of pace, especially since Dr. Banner was the only other individual who didn't mind her extra limbs.
"Uh huh. No one on Midgard marries this early though." She replied as they continued walking. "At least, that's what my uncles say."
It seemed as though Thor had wanted to take a walk before she did. He had looked perturbed and otherwise upset with the current situation. It didn't help that Director Fury was questioning Thor's ability to truly help SHIELD's cause and Midgard's safety.
But this wasn't just about Midgard's safety.
"Of course, customs are different." He paused, glancing at her. "But you—you have gotten through to him, have you?"
Vay shook her head.
"He told me about your father—about what happened six months ago." She started calmly. "When your father could have saved him he insulted him instead—saying how disappointed he was. Loki was tortured and coerced into overthrowing Midgard."
Thor blinked a few times, as if he couldn't comprehend her words.
It somehow made her anger brew in her stomach. She didn't really know why she felt that way—maybe a part of her blamed it on Thor, blamed him for not being there for his younger brother, adopted or not.
She exhaled softly.
"I thought he would be here for vengeance, to take what I love." He admitted. "There's a—a woman—"
Vay cringed.
"Noooo, not your love life!" She crossed her arms over her chest. "We aren't at that stage of friendship, Thor!"
Thor looked a little embarrassed so Vay decided to save his pride.
"Look, Loki's got a lot of mischief, and vengeance is definitely something he loves, but I doubt his anger is towards you." She admitted. "He seemed to be mostly upset with your father. Loki told me they tortured him with fire. I don't know if he would admit that to you but. . .I tried to talk him out of what he was planning. It didn't matter. He won't listen."
