Ch-53
Hwan Gyu's pov
My eyes were widened seeing Jin. I smirked evily and went back. "Master, give me last chance. I have a really nice surprise for you" Blake rolled his eyes, "if it's worth my time, I won't kill you" I nodded and got the ring back somehow. I placed it with me and transformed into one of his trusted brothers, Jimin. I smirked and went towards Jin. "Hyung!" Jin, thinking it's Jimin, didn't went suspicious. Hearing a familiar voice calling out to him, he turned to see Jimin walking towards him. He smiled, thinking it was really his younger brother. "Jimin," he greeted, putting his training sword down. "What's up?"
"I..i wanted to show you a place. It's really great" Before I could proceed to take him, that Amelia called him. I wish I could just kill her. Jin turned to my side, but I just disappeared immediately. Jin, confused, went to Amelia. I peeked through the grass. Thankfully, I was turned in jimin, so they allowed me inside. I saw Jin, panting after a long chase. I sat beside him, "what's wrong hyung? Did princess Amelia again chase you?"
Jin, wiping the sweat off his forehead, nodded and chuckled slightly. "Yeah, she just won't leave me alone," he said, catching his breath. "I swear, she's determined to find out what I'm up to." I chuckled, "it's okay.. hyung i wanted to show you that place yesterday.. will you come with me?" Jin, curious about the place Jimin had mentioned, smiled and nodded. "Sure, lead the way," he said, standing up and dusting himself off. "Let's see what this place is all about." I nodded and then took him. The next moment, he passed out due to the black magic i used on him. I smiled which was a sinister one.
"Master, now you can do anything with him. Please forgive me now" I begged Blake who had a sly smile on his face, looked down at Hwan-Gyu as he presented Jin's unconscious form to him. "Well, well, what do we have here?" he said, his voice dripping with satisfaction. "You actually managed to capture the prince."
Author's pov
With Blake successfully infiltrating the castle disguised as Jin, he was now able to move freely through the palace, unnoticed by the others. Little did they know that their friend and ally was currently bound and imprisoned elsewhere, while a trickster demon now walked among them in his place.
Somewhere dark,
Jin regained consciousness, his head felt heavy and disorientated. He looked around, expecting to see Jimin somewhere nearby. "Jimin?" he called out in a groggy voice, still believing that his brother had brought him here. Jin's eyes widened in surprise as he realized that his legs and arms were bound, effectively restricting his movement. "Where am I...?" he repeated, his heart rate increasing in panic. He tried to struggle against the bonds, but they held firm, leaving him trapped.
Hwan-Gyu, still disguised as Jimin, entered the room with a wicked smirk on his face. He taunted Jin with a fake pleasantry, knowing that the prince was completely clueless about his true identity. "Oh, hyung," he said mockingly, "isn't it a nice place?" Jin widened his eyes, "jimin open my ropes!!" Hwan-Gyu, enjoying the desperate plea from Jin, chuckled sinisterly. "Oh, but why would I do that?" he replied, feigning innocence. "You look so nice all tied up like this."
"Jimin, what's wrong with you??" Hwan-Gyu, still disguised as Jimin, continued to mockingly humor Jin. "What's wrong with me, you ask?" he said, a sinister smirk on his face. "I'm just enjoying seeing you all helpless and vulnerable. It's a change of pace, isn't it, Hyung?" Jin widened his eyes and then heard a noise. Hwan Gyu went from there.
As Amelia rushed into the room, she saw Jin, bound and unable to move. She recognized him and rushed to his side. "Jin!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with concern. "What happened? Why are you tied up like this?" Acting on instinct, Jin suddenly lunged forward and grabbed Jimin's collar, pulling him close. "What the hell is going on?" he demanded, his voice filled with anger and confusion.
Jimin, caught off guard by Jin's sudden aggression, looked confused and genuinely concerned. "Hyung, what's wrong?" he asked, clearly not understanding what was happening or why Jin was so upset. Jin's quick and unexpected punch caught Jimin off guard, causing him to stumble back, bewildered. Luna and Amelia gasped, their eyes widening in shock at Jin's uncharacteristic action.
Despite the shock and confusion, Jimin's eyes widened as he felt the cold metal of a sword at his neck. He looked up at Jin, stunned by his brother's aggressive behavior and the weapon pointed at him. "Hyung, wait... what are you doing?" he said, his voice laced with a mix of fear and disbelief.
Jimin stood there, his heart racing, still trying to understand what was happening. He pleaded with Jin, his voice filled with genuine confusion. "Hyung, I swear, I don't know why you're suddenly being like this. I haven't done anything!" "Who are you?" Jin asked, his voice firm and stern.
Jimin's response was firm, yet filled with a hint of pleading. "I'm Jimin, your younger brother, hyung," he repeated, his voice laced with both concern and desperation. He hoped that hearing his own name and the familiar familial connection would bring some sense back into Jin's mind. Jin advanced, his voice raised in anger as he demanded answers. "Why did you bring me here?" he repeated, his sword poised dangerously close to Jimin's neck. "What is your intention?"
Jimin stood firm, refusing to cower despite the dire circumstances. Blood trickled from his neck where the sword had grazed him, but he held his ground, looking directly into Jin's eyes. "Hyung, I am your brother," he repeated, his voice laced with determination. "I swear, I would never do anything to hurt you. Please believe me!"
As Amelia tried to intervene, hoping to defuse the tense situation, Jin quickly snapped at her, his voice sharp and filled with a hint of hysteria. "Don't come in between us!" he instructed, his gaze focused solely on Jimin. "Jin, Jimin was with us from all along. You are misunderstanding him!!"
Jin paused, a flicker of doubt crossing his face. Amelia's words made him momentarily question his actions, especially upon hearing that Jimin had been with them. Taking a step back, he still kept his sword pointed at his brother. Meanwhile, Luna rushed to Jimin's side, concern etched on her face at the sight of his bleeding neck.
"Hyung we were being attacked. Father was attacked!!" Jimin exclaimed, Jin widened his eyes, "and a demon was imitating as you" Amelia said. The mention of their father being attacked and a demon imitating him seemed to momentarily snap Jin out of his intense state. His eyes widened in surprise as he processed the information. "A demon... imitating me?" he repeated, a mixture of shock and concern in his voice.
"I think the same demon acted as jimin or maybe someone else. But we know that he was with us all along from castle to here" Amelia said. Jin's sword dropped from his hands, falling with a clatter to the ground as he sank to his knees, overwhelmed by an array of emotions. Tears filled his eyes as he looked at Jimin, guilt and regret evident on his face. The realization of what he had almost done, thinking that Jimin had betrayed him, hit him hard.
All of them widened their eyes, "Hyung-" Jimin exclaimed but Jin cut him off. Jin's voice was filled with remorse as he spoke, his eyes filled with tears and self-blame. "I hurt you," he repeated, his voice cracking with emotion. "I am the worst brother. I didn't trust you..." The weight of his actions, the pain he had caused Jimin, and the realization of his misplaced suspicion hit him hard. Jimin immediately helped Jin stand up. "It wasn't your fault" Amelia same forward, "right, and we have other matters here as well" Jin was confused, "what matters?" his voice firm.
