Ch-38
As Jin's eyes snapped open, a mixture of realization and disbelief washed over him. He attempted to rise to his feet, muttering "No... No..." His mind was a haze, and the name 'Jungkook' echoed through his thoughts, as if a faint memory was trying to surface. "No...this can't be right," he whispered, his eyes widened in bewilderment. "Jungkook..."
As the name of Jungkook echoed through Jin's mind, a pang of worry washed over him. He found himself silently pleading. "Please be alright," he whispered under his breath, his concern for Jungkook growing with each passing moment.
As Jin struggled to make sense of his thoughts and memories, he found himself caught in the throes of an unexpected vision. But this time, it was different. It wasn't a glimpse of the past; it was a vision of the future. Unfortunately for Jin, he was unaware that the images he was seeing were glimpses of Jungkook walking into danger.
Jin found himself consumed by a swirl of confusion and worry. The visions he was experiencing were a mystery, and his connection to Jungkook remained elusive. Despite the uncertainty, he silently pleaded to a higher power. "I don't know why I'm getting these dreams or what my connection is with Jungkook," he whispered, "but please, God, keep him safe."
Completely ignorant of the events unfolding around him, Jungkook ventured forth on his journey to find his siblings. He had no inkling of the visions and prayers being made for his safety. As Jungkook continued on his path, he was blissfully oblivious to the fact that he was headed directly towards danger. His determination to find his siblings fueled his steps, completely unaware of the hazards that lay ahead.
"Nooooo!!!" Taehyung's body shot upright in a sudden wake, his chest heaving with each labored breath. Concern etched the features of the man beside him, who exclaimed, "What's wrong?" Taehyung didn't respond to the query, his mind solely fixated on his own thoughts. Without a word, he sprung from the bed and dashed outside.
Namjoon's eyes were fixated on his hands, watching in bewilderment as purple flickers of light danced across his palms, confusing him even further. Suddenly, he was accosted by an unfamiliar figure, a mysterious person who stepped closer and murmured, "Your brother is in danger." Startled, Namjoon's gaze darted from the man to the children running past, adding to his bewilderment. Yet, he remained oblivious to the fact that the person before him was a spirit and that his powers were starting to awaken.
Hoseok stood before the dancing flames; his eyes fixed on their mesmeric dance. Suddenly, he heard a gasp and looked up, meeting the wide-eyed gaze of the woman who had been there before. To his surprise, he glanced down and saw a small fireball flickering in his palm, its presence a complete surprise to him.
Yoongi was engaged in playing with the children, enjoying their innocent company when a boy suddenly spoke up, "You look like a prince." Yoongi froze momentarily, his eyes widening in surprise, the words striking a chord within him, making him delve into deep thoughts.
Jimin was enjoying his meal, dining with the girl he lives, when suddenly her eyes widened, and she exclaimed, "Y-y-you... have wings?!" Jimin's eyes mirrored her surprise, his own gaze widening as he processed her words.
The brothers were caught in a whirlwind of strange happenings, slowly discovering their forgotten powers and realizing that their youngest sibling, Jungkook, was in danger, without any knowledge of their own. The question echoed in their minds: how would they manage to save Jungkook from the perils awaiting him?
Taehyung barged out of his house; his face etched with worry. He frantically glanced around, and the sheer concern on his face was evident. Without a moment's waste, he began sprinting around, his footsteps frantic and desperate. Taehyung frantically searched for a direction as he darted through the village, careening into someone. Looking up, he saw a village girl with an odd look on her face. Time was of the essence, so he hastily attempted to continue his sprint. However, the girl grabbed his arm, preventing him from moving further. She posed a question, "Are you a prince?"
Taehyung paused for a split second, momentarily grappling with the question. He wasn't entirely sure if he was royalty, the memory hazy and elusive. He froze in his tracks as the girl continued speaking, her words drawing his attention. "Your face is so similar," she said, her eyes fixed intently on him. Taehyung's interest piqued, sensing that the girl might possess some vital information he was unaware of. He turned his attention towards her, hoping for a revelation that could shed light on his current predicament.
Taehyung's curiosity surged as he eagerly asked the girl, "Can you tell me with whom my face is similar?" The girl's reply came swiftly, "One of the lost princes from the neighboring kingdom." Taehyung's eyes widened at the revelation. Lost princes... could it be...? Could his lost memories be connected to the princes of the neighboring kingdom?
Taehyung's brows furrowed as he sought clarification, questioning the girl further. "Lost princes?" he asked; his voice tinged with curiosity. In response, the girl met his gaze and explained, "It's just a rumor. Around one and a half months ago, the princes of that kingdom suddenly vanished without a trace, and they still haven't been found since then."
Taehyung looked at her and then a thought came in his mind. "Thanks for this information" he ran back to the house he was living in and stood before the man he called his "friend," a sense of urgency in his eyes. He got straight to the point and asked with a serious expression, "I need an answer. Since when have I been living here? I have no recollection of anything, so you can tell me. How many days have I been staying here, and how long have you known me?"
The man's brow furrowed as he listened to Taehyung's inquiry. After a moment's pause, he replied, "One and a half months. But... why do you ask?" Taehyung fell silent upon hearing the man's response, his mind working rapidly as the pieces of the puzzle aligned. He whispered aloud, "The same time when the princes got lost." A profound realization washed over him, the connection between his arrival and the missing princes becoming increasingly tangible.
Namjoon continued to grapple with his thoughts, perplexed by the recent encounter with the spirit. He contemplated his situation, mentally reminding himself that he had brothers, but the problem was, he couldn't remember who they were, nor could he discern who was in danger.
A heavy sigh escaped his lips as he pondered over these questions, his confusion and concern mounting. He studied his hands, contemplating their newfound capabilities. A flicker of determination flared within his eyes as he considered the possibility. Perhaps if he wielded powers strong enough to connect with a spirit, they might also hold the key to uncovering clues about his identity and his brothers.
