P: "What do you mean by that? I don't want her to take the blame for my mistake."
S: "Oh! Is it? But it doesn't look like that way. Anyway, you don't need to bother about some random doctor who isn't that responsible."
P: "Listen, Don't-"
S: "Uh, here we go again. I just want to clear it up loud Parthiv, 'You don't need to protect her' ".
P: "I will defend her no matter what until she has nothing to do with the fault."
With this Sara left there with a pissed face.
Deepthi stood there silently with a disappointed face.
"You don't need to consider her words." Parthiv paused after a couple of minutes.
Deepthi bowed her head saying, "Sorry Sir. My mistake. I didn't consider them seriously and overlooked those tests."
Her voice cracked up and Parthiv noticed her and paused for a second.
Parthiv became so uncomfortable after watching her. He felt so sad and angry at the same time for her helplessness.
"Can you come nearer?" Parthiv asked in a deep voice.
Deepthi wiped her tears and stood near him.
"Please sit."
She sat there and he gave her water.
Parthiv held her hands and consoled her.
Deepthi was surprised by his act.
------------------------------------------------------------------
She already experienced his touch previously which vibed like Manipulative and confusing.
In fact, she fears more when he holds her hands at those times when he is convincing her to fulfill his needs. She sensed his selfishness, cunning mind, and manipulative behavior whenever he tried to act her in such a way, it always ended up asking her to understand his desires by holding her hand firmly. Those were the weirdest touches she ever faced then.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Now the intentions were not reflected as she feared.
It was warm, kind, and soft. More like some assurance she needed it the most and that she wasn't doing anything wrong.
He held her hand in an assured way that she almost felt relieved and entrusted her hand after feeling safe with him. He assured her and at that moment, he became her greatest strength.
"She can speak most uselessly without thinking much. Just because she was superior to you, that doesn't mean your work isn't valuable. Moreover, I know how much you struggled without your team and we didn't assign anyone apart from you. Additionally, I annoyed you far worse than a kid. You worked so hard for me if she can only point out a small mistake, it doesn't mean you did nothing. I am here to support you no matter what, don't think much about her."
She nodded her head, and he continued saying,
"I can't change the team immediately. It needs some time and has to give some proper justification moreover they were assigned as they had the highest succeeding record. Give me some time, I will sort it out accordingly."
D: "You don't need to change anything. I am such an idiot and completely forgot to scan the tests. You already tried to help me so much, I don't want to mess it much more."
P: "Okay, if that's the case, I don't think you should stop calling me 'sir'. Like, if she can speak in such stupidity, you put away our friendship and can act like that. Right?"
Deepthi smiled lightly and replied,
"It's not like that. I think I am overlooking when we became friends. So-"
P: "Never. Never have you kept your work away for some things that are not kept in the first place. Since you are the only one who is getting every work done, you might forget. And that's okay, don't take things personally until I question you. They were just acting like they were the best doctors to impress me."
His soft touch and calm voice fixed her mood and soothed her to which she nodded.
Parthiv smiled at her and patted her head saying, "Don't worry, I will make sure that she doesn't disturb you."
