Chapter 60

Time went fast and Parthiv almost recovered and they both became close friends. Everyone knew that and Parthiv was busy in his schedule, on the other side Deepthi is making sure that he is taking care of his health properly. 

So, Parthiv reduced unnecessary teams where he can go for the checkup once a month. He kept his team very less who needs to be checked him frequently. But somehow he managed to keep Deepthi near him.

So rumors started very quickly that they both were dating. Some came up with another story about them in a disgusting way. Both the people and friends around them are trying to not listen check them. 

Until one night, where Deepthi received a message saying 'Congrats for hooking up with that rich brat, who can buy you anything in this world. I envy you so much doctor. Hope you can explain your charm that attracted him...."

She was stunned with the message and didn't understand about the message. She didn't replied them and thought of showing it to her friend. The next morning, she showed that to her team, and they couldn't figure out who sent that. On top of that, everyone is believing that they both were dating seriously, and as soon as they saw her, they were gossiping about her. 

The environment around her got very uncomfortable, so she left there. When she is going to her cabin, she can sense all the stares that are pointing towards her. "Hey, look, it's her...." "She is acting very innocently as if she is not the one...." "I am sure that these days girls who are looking so naive are actually cunning..." After listening to that, she rushed very fast to avoid them, but that didn't end in a day. It's about 2 weeks where she felt so irritated and tired of the nuisance she was surrounded by, and she was tired of that. 

As per her schedule, she is going to check on Parthiv, as he recently came back after his business trip. While she is about to go, H.O.D. called her; with some sense of being aware of what might be the question, she slowly knocked on his door.

H.O.D.: "Deepthi, I never expected this from you. I thought you were a hardworking and smart young doctor."

D: "I understood what you meant...."She muttered in a slow voice.

H.O.D.: "If you are that aware of these things, why did you get into such nonsense? See, I don't interfere in your personal life; that's not my limit. But I want you to do the same. Don't mess your personal life into your profession."

D: "I never brought my personal things into any professional track. And you know that, right?"

H: "I know that, which is the only reason I got shocked this time. I don't know if I should trust those rumors or not. But I want you to stay within your limits with V.C. I understood that he is young, attractive, and a very good speaker. Does that mean you can get close with him?"

Before she was about to say, he continued saying, "I think you are aware by this time that you will be removed from the priority team within the next week. Now I have to give an explanation for the higher authorities. I don't know what's going on between you, but I request you to stop them. As you know, it can be a much more serious issue if it goes in front of our chairman and can affect all our careers. So I request you to not continue any kind of relationship with him."

He pleaded with her, and after she came out, tears started rolling from her eyes. She checked the time and went quickly to his time. By the time she went, he was nowhere in the room. She thought of waiting for him, but remembering the consequences she was going through, she decided to leave early before he arrived. 

So she wrote some prescriptions and scannings that need to be done periodically and concluded with a line, "Sorry, Parthiv, I shouldn't meet you from now on. Please take care of your health. From your good friend, Deepthi. She wiped her tears, placed that note on the table, and packed her things. Then she heard his voice and packed up her things very quickly and was about to leave his room. 

Just then, Parthiv is entering the room, asking, "Hey Deepu, when did you come? You know I am taking care of my health very seriously; I didn't even miss my day, even on the trip-" He stopped in the middle after looking at her face. His voice became so concerned and asked, "Who hurt you?"
