Chapter 42

Deepthi finally went to her hometown and met her parents. They were so happy to meet after a long time.

 "So Dad, I came to know that you are working overtime these days, what is the purpose of that? I have already told you not to work as my salary is decent enough to provide us, yet you have been working and pressuring yourself recently. "

Deepthi questioned Rajiv in a bit angry way to which he smiled and replied,

"Dear, I know you are working and your salary might provide for us financially, but your earnings shouldn't be the main income and as a father, I have many responsibilities like your marriage, Rahul's job, marriage, medical backup, debts, and many more. You are helping a lot in this, but I have to work until you both settle in every aspect and I get some fixed returns."

D: "But please take care of your health. It's more valuable than any of the problems you mentioned."   

R: "Okay, and you are here to save me. So I need not to worry about anything. Luckily you became a doctor and we got supported financially. If they didn't help us, we would not be like this. We should be grateful for them a lot." 

Deepthi's expression changed and paused for a minute,

"True Dad, they made our lives into something that can't be unforgettable."

"I think we should meet them and thank them respectfully because you were not available and I was sick at that time."

"Umm........... Dad, actually I was treating Parthiv now. I got assigned to treat him and was on the team. There are many department specialists and juniors to monitor him regularly."

"Really!!!! What happened to him? He was in the UK with his brother. "

"Didn't you know this dad? Parthiv was injured severely in an accident underwent a couple of surgeries and had to perform the remaining, until he recovered. His condition went too serious, but now he is doing well." 

"Oh, so much happened recently. I wasn't in touch with Pankaj these days, whenever I contacted him he didn't explain this, and they have not living here for the past few years. They came here occasionally to look upon the business. It's been a long time since I met him in person and came to know that Parthiv got sick, but recovered later. Didn't know more than that."

"Pankaj's Uncle got very tired and looked so weak. Pain was seen in his eyes, and Aunty once told me everything. Since I was working in their acquired hospital, I got to know about this and was appointed to treat him and track his health regularly."

"If that is so, we will try to meet them when we come there. Make sure you are treating him carefully Deepu, we owe them a lot."

Days went fast and deepthi returned to Delhi after completing her tasks and spending time with her family.  

She wasn't treating him but receiving his messages occasionally. She was doing her regular work and was having a good period in her life until the moment came when she was supposed to work with them.
