Chapter 62

It's been a couple of days, and Deepthi stayed in her home by spending time for herself. She stopped caring about all the mess that happened a couple of days back and tried to heal herself. She learned some hobbies, like doing canvas, which she loved recently, and setting up some plants on her balcony, which felt good and calm.

Parthiv is checking on her constantly, and she assured him that everything is fine. But he is ordering everything for her, from food to toys, which can give peace to her. Although she insisted, he never stopped sending. Meanwhile, Kartheeka is coming and checking her often if she is taking care of her health.

She pinged her one night as it's going to be late for her to return.

"Deepu, have you had your dinner?"

"Yes, Karthee, haven't you returned home yet?"

"Not yet. It's hectic these days. I wish you were there with me. 😔"

After a deep thought, she replied,

"I thought of coming from tomorrow."

"Wait—no. You don't need to come this early. I applied for leave on your behalf. The issue is being forgotten just now; I dare not go through that trauma again. I repeat. Just stay a few more days till I see there is no harm for you."

"It's okay; I don't want to run away from the problem and hide. Let it come and let them hate. I just want to prepare myself that I don't take them seriously and mind my work."

"You sure? All I want to say is don't force yourself to act like you are strong every time, which is not a possible thing for any human."

"I am okay. I can get bored if I stay in the same place by overthinking, which can make me insane."

She finally got ready and looked at herself in the mirror, saying, 'I know how difficult it can be for you, but you have to go through it. One day possibly you will get used to it. Just be balanced.'

She went to the hospital while Kartheeka was accompanying her, and she observed those stares and discomfort are not there as compared to a few days back. She was so relieved that people are minding their own business. Vaishnavi and Vikas brought her her favorite chocolate brownie, to which she is trying her best to engage with them like they used to before.

It was almost evening, and she was about to have lunch when she heard a lot of chaos and disturbances from the entrance side till the lift area. Out of curiosity, Kartheeka dragged her there to see who was coming, as they didn't acknowledge any prior announcement. After 15 minutes, they saw a black Mercedes stopped in front of the entrance, and a man in a black co-ord with sunglasses got down, and everyone rushed there only to realize it's the V.C. who arrived suddenly without any prior intimation.

Since it's the first time he came to their branch, everyone went and greeted him and asked about his health.

K: "Why didn't they let us know this before?"

D:"Probably they didn't know as well!"

K: "Did he come to see you??"

D: Shut "up!"

They are conversing in the meantime; he entered inside, and he got surprised by Deepthi, where he accidentally laid his eyes on her.

He didn't stop there and moved on like nothing happened. Deepthi sighed in relief, thinking that he might dig both of them into worse. She went to her cabin, but deep down, she was wondering about his sudden arrival, which he didn't do.

Keeping her thoughts aside, she focused on her work, and he arranged a meeting with all the superior management. He entered the meeting room, and everyone greeted him with a nervous smile.
