Chapter 45

"Are you stupid enough so that I can push you to the therapy?" Deepthi asked Karthika in a most frustrating tone and they were having a conversation while having a walk on their way.

K: "I thought you were having a great time."

D: "Great? forget about that. I was fearing death. My new mentor is so sarcastic and she always tries to show off her demanding and control over me."

K: "Didn't Parthiv defend you? "

D: "Yeah, he tried to explain her- wait! How did you expect that?"

Deepthi paused for a moment to ask her and she casually replied,

"Um- I just guessed it."

D: "Will Vaishnavi and Vikas ever have the plan to visit the hospital? I am just missing their presence badly. Ever since they left, it's been difficult for me to habituate with some strangers, especially if they were superior. I also noticed some other teams who were treating him, they had this clear division of work. Seniors check when they receive the reports and juniors will come on a cyclic visit. According to their experience, they were treating him and not beyond that. But when it's me, I don't know why I left like a weird piece 🤦‍♀️. In the U.S. team, some juniors were in the same dept. But they couldn't open up and they had their clear hierarchical team and reporting team. So, they didn't need to join me, instead, I was assigned to Sara. She wasn't bad though, still, it was not easy to be with her. She is not so easy to deal with, like you don't even know I first thought is she crack or what?"

K: " Really? I thought you were okay with them. since you don't remain single, it's still better. But if it bothers you, Why don't you ask for some replacement?"

D: "If I ever ask something, it's going to be the end. I must act wise."

K: "btw, Vaishnavi and Vikas may rejoin at this month's end or next. But, it may not be possible for them to join you. They had a lot to do now."

D: "Seriously, they should keep someone from the other branch/city. Even so much happened, they are still choosing me rather than replacing others as if I had to repay this hospital."

Karthika muttered, "Who knows if this might be someone else's plan? "

Deepthi tries to sort out the previous reports to handle for Sara. She tries to check every report starting from his depression and before that and his past medical condition and everything.

Sara: "Why are you singly handling? you must be in some team, right? That too a junior doctor."

D: "Two of my teammates unexpectedly left due to some personal issues and the other with some campaign. It's been a long time, but they didn't hire anyone on the team. Maybe hesitating to the confidentiality and Privacy."

S: "Do you think that these team members are not going to reveal this to anyone? how naive and innocent are you? Look, Deepthi, I am going to monitor his health and gonna stay here for some time. So you have to report me, and I will check your work every now and then. Please answer exactly to the question they are gonna ask now."

Deepthi nodded and then they both went from the hospital to his mansion.

The team started to check his health and the complexions that arrived post-surgery. While Parthiv was having some physiotherapy sessions.

"So where are the recent scanning reports?" the team asked Sara to which she looked, Deepthi.

Deepthi's nervous face was understood by her and she was gesturing to bring them.

"I apologize, but we didn't perform any MRI scans and Brain scans." Deepthi finally reported after everyone was looking for her reply.

"What?"

"Are you serious?"

"You are a crazy woman."

"How irresponsible are you?"

Everyone was yelling at her for the mistake and she bent her head down.

"My Mistake." Parthiv silenced everyone while arriving inside and Deepthi raised her head to look at him.

"My laziness or you call whatever. She reminds me every time she visits. My negligence and I will complete them within this week. You had no right to blame her. If anyone has to take the responsibility, then it's me."

"Not like that sir. But we think that she must assist you to get things done."

P: "She and her seniors tried their best. They can't forcefully perform right?"

With that, everyone stood silent and left leaving the neurology dept there. Deepthi felt a bit relieved after Parthiv assured him with his eyes.

"I can't believe there are people like you Deepthi. And it's my fault for not asking before the meeting. You are not even better than my wild thought." Sara scoffed at Deepthi.

"I told you right. You shouldn't blame her for some silly things." Parthiv tried to defend her.

"Why are you trying to protect her?" Sara asked in a straight way.
