The next morning, the sun was just beginning to filter through the curtains as Aurora Black slowly stirred awake. She groaned slightly, her head still throbbing from the events of the previous night. As she sat up, she noticed that the other girls in her dormitory were already awake and sitting together, whispering in hushed tones. Pansy Parkinson, Daphne Greengrass, and Millicent Bulstrode all turned to look at her as she stretched and yawned.
"Morning," Aurora mumbled, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
"Morning?" Pansy repeated, her tone incredulous. "Aurora, what the hell happened last night?"
Aurora raised an eyebrow, feigning ignorance. "What do you mean?"
Millicent leaned in, her voice full of curiosity. "Dimitri Ivanov, the Durmstrang guy you were with, came back to the party last night looking like he'd just escaped a dragon's den. He was muttering something about you being a 'crazy bitch.' What did you do to him?"
Aurora's lips curled into a small, satisfied smirk. "He was being a little too aggressive, so I put him in his place."
Daphne's eyes widened. "What exactly did you do, Aurora?"
Aurora recounted the events of the previous night, explaining how Dimitri had tried to push himself on her, and how she had responded by nearly setting him on fire. The girls listened with rapt attention, their expressions a mix of shock and admiration.
"Well, that explains why he looked so terrified," Pansy said, a grin spreading across her face. "Serves him right."
"Exactly," Aurora replied, her tone nonchalant. "He thought he could push me around, but he learned his lesson."
With that, the girls decided to get ready for breakfast. They dressed quickly, the atmosphere in the room still buzzing with the excitement of last night's events. As they made their way down to the Great Hall, they continued to discuss the party, laughing and teasing each other about the costumes they had worn and the games they had played.
The Great Hall was already bustling with students when they arrived, and the four girls made their way to the Slytherin table. They settled in, grabbing plates of food and filling their goblets with pumpkin juice. The conversation was light, filled with gossip about the Triwizard Tournament and the latest rumors floating around the school.
Aurora was just starting to enjoy her breakfast when she noticed Dimitri Ivanov making his way toward her. His usual confident swagger was gone, replaced by a hesitant, almost sheepish demeanor. He stopped in front of her, glancing nervously at Draco Malfoy, who was sitting beside her.
"Aurora," Dimitri began, his voice low, "can we talk? Alone?"
Draco's eyes narrowed as he looked up at Dimitri, his protective instincts kicking in. "She's not going anywhere alone with you," Draco said coldly.
Aurora placed a calming hand on Draco's arm, giving him a reassuring smile. "It's fine, Draco. I can handle this."
Draco looked at her for a moment, his expression still tense, but he finally relented with a nod. "Alright, but don't be long."
