Aurora slipped back into her bedroom, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts. Theo and Draco were already there, their expressions grim and expectant. The tension in the room was palpable, pressing against Aurora like a physical force. She closed the door behind her and immediately cast a Silencing Spell, ensuring no one outside would hear what was about to unfold. The air felt heavy with unspoken questions, the most pressing of which Draco voiced first.

"Why did you help Potter and Weasley escape?" he asked, his voice low and tinged with accusation.

Aurora turned to face him, her expression guarded. "I did what I thought was right," she replied evenly, meeting his gaze with unwavering resolve. She could see the conflict in Draco's eyes, the war between his loyalty to his family and his growing discomfort with the path they were on.

Theo, who had been leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, pushed himself upright. His face was a mask of frustration and concern. "You put yourself and all of us in danger by doing that," he said sharply. "What if someone finds out? What if the Dark Lord finds out?"

Aurora clenched her jaw. "He won't find out unless one of you says something," she snapped. Her eyes flicked between Theo and Draco, daring them to challenge her. "Go on, tell him," she added sarcastically, throwing her hands in the air. "Run straight to Voldemort and tell him what I've done. I'm sure he'll reward you for it."

Draco and Theo exchanged a look, both of them grappling with the implications of Aurora's words. Theo's jaw tightened, and he took a step toward her. "We're not going to tell him," he said, his voice hard. "But you can't keep doing things like this. You're going to get us all killed."

Aurora's expression softened, but only slightly. "I never asked you to cover for me," she said, her voice lowering. "I've never asked either of you to take the fall for my actions."

Draco's face twisted with a mixture of anger and hurt. "You need to choose a side, Aurora," he insisted, his voice trembling with emotion. "You can't keep playing both ends against the middle. Sooner or later, you're going to have to decide where your loyalties lie."

Aurora's eyes flared with defiance. "I've already chosen," she said, her voice sharp. "I told the Dark Lord from the beginning that I don't follow anyone. If he dies because of my choices, that's on him, not me."

Theo let out a frustrated sigh. "You think it's that simple?" he demanded. "You think he's going to just let you go your own way, do whatever you want? Aurora, this is Voldemort we're talking about! He doesn't care about your independence or your choices. He cares about obedience and loyalty. If he finds out you're not fully with him, he'll kill you."

Aurora's eyes softened as she looked at Theo. "He won't find out," she said quietly. "Not if you don't say anything. I trust you both. I trust you to understand why I'm doing this."

Theo's expression remained guarded, but there was a flicker of something in his eyes something that suggested he wanted to believe her, to stand by her, even if it meant risking everything. "You're asking us to lie for you," he said, his voice almost pleading. "To lie to him, to our families, to everyone. Do you have any idea what you're asking?"

Aurora nodded slowly. "I'm asking you to trust me," she said, her voice steady. "To trust that I know what I'm doing. I'm not fighting for a side, I'm fighting for what I believe is right. And sometimes that means making hard choices, taking risks."

Draco's shoulders slumped, the fight draining out of him. He ran a hand through his hair, looking more weary than Aurora had ever seen him. "You know how much we care about you," he said softly. "We're in this because of you. We're standing with you because we believe in you, Aurora. But this... what you did today... it's reckless. It's dangerous."

Aurora felt a pang of guilt at the raw emotion in Draco's voice, but she pushed it aside. "I know it's dangerous," she admitted. "I know what I'm asking of you both. But if I don't do this, if we don't at least try to stand up to him, then what's the point? What kind of world are we going to be left with?"

Theo's eyes softened, and he took a step closer to her. "And what about us, Aurora? What happens to us if you get caught? If he finds out what you're doing?"

Aurora looked at Theo, then at Draco, her heart aching with the weight of the choices she had made. "Then you do your job," she said, her voice firm. "You protect me. You cover for me. And if it all goes wrong, if it all falls apart, then we deal with it together."

Draco closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. When he opened them again, they were filled with a determination that mirrored Aurora's own. "We'll stand by you," he said quietly. "But you have to promise us something."

Aurora raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"That you'll be careful," Theo interjected. "That you won't take unnecessary risks. That you'll think before you act."

Aurora hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "I promise," she said. "I'll be careful. I won't take any more risks than I have to. But you have to trust me, trust that I know what I'm doing."

Draco and Theo exchanged another look, then both nodded. "Alright," Draco said finally. "We're with you. But this is the last time we take such a big risk. If things get any more dangerous, we need to find another way."
