Part 3 : chapter 3

The news just came out : JJK's manga will end in 5 chapters, 

on September 30th, 2024. ㅜㅜ

The next day, December 23, 2008:

Shoko: "So you really ran away? Like in romantic comedies??"

Utahime: "I didn't run away! ... I just left really early. That's all!"

Shoko: "Yeah, well, it's what people say usually! You left while he was sleeping though!"

Utahime: "(....)"

Shoko: "You're such a responsible adult, Utahime, hahaha!!!"

Utahime: "I did not run away!! Anyway, that's not the point."

Shoko: "At least, was it good? "

Utahime: "Yes it was good. It was maybe too good ... (sighs in despair)"

Shoko: "I don't see the problem with that? I never really understood why you two broke up... Did Satoru cheat on you?..."

Utahime: "No, that's not it. It's just complicated. I don't really know how to explain it, but the rational part of me knows that we don't have a future together? Do you really think his family would accept their most powerful heir marrying an unknown girl like me? Especially an ex-servant of the family... I highly doubt they would welcome the news with open arms... They've probably already arranged a marriage with a girl from a very good family or something like that...don't know and don't wanna know"

Shoko: "That's what you think..., but I doubt anyone would oppose Satoru's decision! Anyway, as a future doctor, I have to ask, so don't get offended, Saint' Utahime!"

Utahime: "What?"

Shoko: "Did you use protection during the act?"

Utahime remained silent for a moment.

She tried to recall their intimate moment the night before...

Utahime: "I don't know ... I didn't pay attention to that."

Shoko: "Hahaha, it must have been really hot there !!"

Utahime: "SHOKO! Stop it!! Or I won't tell you anything anymore!!!"

Shoko: "Okay, okay. Then I suggest you quickly go to the pharmacy for an emergency pill. We never know."

After hanging up, Utahime prepared to go to the pharmacy. Shoko was absolutely right. It was better to be safe than sorry. Nor was it the right person to get pregnant with; how was she supposed to  explain to her family that she got pregnant by her high school ex-boyfriend, who also happened to be the heir of the most powerful clan in Japan, if not the whole world. No, really. It was not the right time to start a happy family.
