GAME OVER

"You got to be kidding me!" I yell as I throw on the couch as I lay back in defeat. "At this rate, I'm never going to beat you." I groan, before taking a breath and sitting up with a new found determination. "I'm not going to lose this time, let's go again."

Adrien chuckled, "Alright, but are you sure, princess? It's 3 am and you haven't done any of your homework." I waved my hand to dismiss it, "Already did it. I got Damian to look over it too so you know it's good."

Adrien shook his head, "Alright, but just know you won't be able to win." I rolled my eyes, "Just because you were a contender for a school tournament, doesn't mean you're suddenly a pro." I scoffed and picked up the controller once again as I stare at the screen.

He shrugged and returned back to the game with a soft smirk painted on his lips. I couldn't help but grunt in annoyance as we started the game once again.

My fingers danced on the buttons of the controller, spamming every move possible as he just countered every attack.

Eventually the game ended with me adding yet another loss to my plate. "That's it!" I say throwing my hands in the air, "I'm done, I'm officially done. I cannot even get one hit on you!"

I stand up with a huff, "I've got to go anyways, don't want your father to figure out that I'm still here in the morning." he leaned in to give me a goodbye kiss as I transformed and snuck out his window.

By the next morning I was kind of regretting my decisions, stupid video games bringing out my competition side and getting the best of me, and now I have to sit in school with eyebags and a sense of defeat.

Damian sat beside me with a smirk, "Someone got home late." he said and I rolled my eyes, "Don't even. I stayed up all night trying to get better at that stupid game that I didn't even go to sleep."

Max walked over to us, "Did you say video game?" He asked, "I made a new fighting game and I would love for someone to play it."

I looked up at the hopeful boy with tired eyes, "I would love to, but I really should get some sleep, maybe another time?" He saddened a bit before turning to Damian with hope, "What about you Damian?"

Damian shook his head, "Sorry, I can't, I have to help my father with a new project he's working on."

Max slumped, "That's okay, I'll just find someone else." He slowly walked away and I watched him leave with a frown, "I feel bad, maybe I should play his game."

"Please," Damian responded, "There are only two outcomes of that, one you fall asleep before you even play the game, or your break it because you're just not a good video game player."

I groaned and laid my head on the desk, "Just leave me then, I'm going to take a nap."

Damian furrowed a brow, "You're going to sleep on campus? Just go home."

Too late, I already fell asleep.

It was about 20 minutes after when I got a text from Chloe, asking me to meet her at the library. Probably to ask for help with homework. I slowly stood up, out of the classroom, and thought the halls to the library.

I walked out to meet up with Chloe, but as I got closer, she suddenly disappeared, along with Sabrina. I turned around, and more people began to disappear.

What the heck was happening?

I run out to the quad again to find Adrien running over to me, "Why is everyone going?" I asked as he ran over, "I don't know, but I think I might know who's behind it."
