Just then they heard a gasp. Hope's eyes went wide as Enna's opened. The adults started making their way to the table as Enna sat up wide eyed. That last thing she remembered was her people surrounding her to put her to sleep. How long had it been? Her father said it would only be for a week.
"Hello" Hayley spoke softly attempting to approach the girl. Enna whipped her head around and quickly got off the table backing away as her eyes shone Violet. Her sister's color may have been blue, but it wasn't hers.
Enna was nearly hyperventilating in fear. One moment she was home and the next she was surrounded by all these strange people in strange clothes in a strange place.
"We don't want to hurt you." Freya said holding her hands up showing she meant no harm.
"Wha-what is happening?" How long was I asleep for?" She asked still breathing heavily her eyes darting around the room.
"Where is my mother? I want to see my mother." She said trying not to hyperventilate.
"Listen sweetie you've been asleep for a long time, why don't you sit down." Hayley said as she held out her hand for Enna to take. Hesitantly, Enna took it as Hayley lead her to the living room couch.
"Where is my mother? I want to see her." Enna said again looking at everyone in the room. "Where are we? What is this?" She asked as she looked around the room. They were certainly not in a hut.
"I'm sorry but you've been asleep for a long time." Hayley gently said to Enna.
"How long?" Enna asked.
"Over a thousand years." Hayley said softly.
"Wha-what? N-no you are lying! I want to see my mother?" Enna said as she felt tears spring to her eyes.
"Enna I'm sorry-" Hope started as Enna abruptly got up and started to hyperventilate.
"Where...where is.. my mother.. where is she!" She said between gasps of breath as tears started falling from her eyes.
"Enna your mother is dead, I'm sorry." Hayley said getting up and reaching up to grab the girl who wouldn't stop shaking her head.
"No.." she said placing her hand over her mouth keep in a sob. Hailey carefully wrapped her arms around the girl as she started to sob.
"Ev-everyone is gone?" She asked.
"I'm sorry." Vincent spoke up from the side as Freya and Hope just watched not knowing what to say. Enna was shaking as she cried held her knees to her chest as she sat on the floor while Hayley tried to comfort her.
Hope felt guilty. She hadn't thought about this. She hadn't thought that getting her family back would result in Enna knowing she lost hers.
After a while, Enna finally stopped crying.
"Enna, my name is Hayley. That is Freya, over there is Vincent, and this is my daughter Hope, she's about your age. Why don't you go with her so she can get you a change of clothes so you can sleep." Hayley told her as Enna nodded and took the hand Hope reached out to her.
Hope grabbed the pajamas she had picked out for her and led Enna upstairs so she could changed. Enna looked around like a deer in the headlights.
"Here are some pajamas for you to sleep in. Unless you want to shower first?" Hope questioned.
"Shower?" Enna questioned.
"Mmm.." Hope tried to think of what it would be referred to back then. "Bathe" she settled on.
