Hello and welcome to this way too long chapter (sorry)!

I'm pretty sure there's only one TW for this one: talk of SA&abuse

Yey! Enjoy!

Lucy's diary

I wish I would't have gone to that stupid party. It's been days since and I still feel ashamed every time I am alone. I can't wash my body and not still feel dirty after. Knowing it is my own damn fault for feeling this way now just makes it worse.
I haven't told anyone about what happened because I'm sure it won't do anything. What was there even to tell?
Hey, I accepted a guys drink and then went to see his car without realizing what that meant.
Everyone would laugh at me. So yeah, I'm keeping my mouth shut about this and just try to forget it.
I hope it'll be in the past until the next race...

Lucy wasn't exactly sure how she'd gotten to the point in her life where she got to fly in a private jet. For free.

And apparently in the world of Formula 1 this was completely normal to share an expensive ass plane to get from race to race. They called it jet pooling, which was basically the same as car pooling, but for rich people.

Kyra and Charles had offered Lucy to go with them, the McLaren boys and some staff, but she'd declined the offer and decided to go with the RedBull team instead.

To her cousin she'd explained that it was for bonding purposes. You know, getting to know the team better, which was partially true.

What Kyra didn't know was that Lucy had been keeping a secret from her ever since that night at the club in Bahrain. The incident with Ocon had not left Lucy's mind since, but she was desperately avoiding to talk about it.

She felt embarrassed about it and like she didn't even really have a right to be upset. Not after Ocon had made it clear that it technically had been his right to have sex with her.

Still, the voice inside her mind was begging her to tell someone. She'd feel better after, sure, but then what? Get laughed at? Be told that Esteban had been right?

Lucy didn't want to risk it, so surrounding herself with people who didn't care about her personal life seemed like the safest option.

And spending a couple of hours in a plane with the RedBull drivers, Christian Horner and their race engineers would be good for her next article anyways.

»Hey ghost, good job on the article!« GP, Verstappen's race engineer, turned around from his seat and gave Lucy a warm smile. »Just read it and it really captures the team spirit.«

»Agreed!« Christian Horner who sat in the same lounge as GP commented, giving Lucy a wink. He'd already called with her after she'd sent him the finished draft and told her how much he'd liked it.

Not knowing how to reach when receiving compliments and a little embarrassed by all the attention that was on her all of a sudden, Lucy just smiled and said, »Thanks, I'm glad you think so.«
