Hello, managed to write another chapter :)I do have to confess that this chapter isn't very Max heavy. Idk I just feel like I need to develop Lucy and her friendship to other people :)
Hope you'll like it anyway. It's something more relaxed after the past chapters hahaha.
Enjoy!

Lucy's diary
I've been up all night, thinking about what happened with Max. I can't stop blaming myself, even though he said it wasn't my fault repedeatly. Somehow his willingness to forgive me and even be there for me just makes me feel so much more guilty.
Like he's supposed to shout and scream at me, be angry and vow to never speak to me again... but no, he made sure I was okay before leaving and called me by my first name the entire time. And my heart isn't listening to my brain at all. It keeps beating fast whenever I think about him, his eyes, his touch... I want it to stop, right now. It just gets me all confused and makes me nauseous..

"You look horrible." Kyra put an arm around her cousin as they walked through the paddock side by side, trying to make their way through the masses. Concerned she noticed the dark circles underneath Lucy's eyes, her spacey look. "Something up?"
"No, just didn't sleep enough because I had to work on the next article." Lucy lied, stifling a yawn as she didn't want to draw any further attention to her exhaustion. It didn't feel good, keeping the truth from Kyra, but this wasn't her secret to share. And no matter the circumstances, the girl doubted that her cousin would take kindly to Max staying in her room all night and not leaving until early in the morning.
"You work too hard." Kyra replied very matter-of-factly, giving the younger woman a pointed look. Lucy commented it with a small smile and a headshake. "Hey, I'm serious! You need to take breaks and spend some time with people and not just that pretty notebook of yours."
"Says the woman who worked around the clock for almost an entire year." Lucy countered and almost walked into someone standing in front of her. She didn't get to apologize properly as Kyra pulled her away by her arm.
"That's different." How it was different Kyra didn't feel the need to explain, only looking back to make sure Lucy was still attached to the arm and hadn't gone lost between all the people. As their eyes met, the womans expession softened, even giving her cousin a little smile. "And don't try to get off topic. We're going to do something fun tonight, get your mind off that article."
"Kyra..." Lucy whined, taking a couple of quick steps to catch up. It wasn't great for her lungs, which already felt like there wasn't enough air in the space around her. Ignoring the prickling pain she looked up at Kyra, but she just shook her head, signaling that there was not place for debate.
"No, I'll organize something. A get-together. Nothing too big, I promise." The dreamy smile on Kyras full lips made it look otherwise, but Lucy just let her head hang low and accepted her fate. If Kyra wanted a party, there would be a party.
Before the woman could think of any other crazy things to do that would get Lucy to interact with society more, they reached the RedBull garage. Everyone was busy, preparing everything for the race that would take place in a few short hours. Kyra said her goodbyes, winking at Christian before strolling over to the Ferrari hospitality.
