Hello guys, kind of a fun chapter? Idk.It's more of a buffer for the chapters that are about to come.
Also I decided to go with a bit of a bigger age gap between Lucy and Max. Idk, I just feel like it fits and also it's fiction and also they're both consenting adults. Hope that's okay for everyone.
Anyway, enjoy!

Lucy's diary
Max and I didn't manage to meet up anymore before Miami. We did try. Very much.
But he had a promotional shoot (the pictures came out yesterday, haven't stopped staring at them since) in England and traveled from there directly and I had Charles, who needed my help for more proposal preparations. He's sweet, wanting everything to be planned and perfect, but honestly I don't think Kyra even needs all of that. Of course he doesn't want to hear that, so who am I to interfere?•

»And Lando hasn't been able to shut up all the way here. Been going on and on about how he feels that this weekends gonna be great and that he might get his frist win.« Oscar sighed, exhasperation written across his face.
He pulled out of the parking spot he'd managed to get in front of the hotel, where he'd picked up Lucy from. They'd been good at upholding their inofficial tradition. At this point it wasn't even a question if Oscar would pick her up in the mornings, he'd just ask when she'd be ready and he'd be there. Same principal applied at the end of the day.
»Listen, I get that Lando is more superstitious or whatever and that it's his fifth season and he's never won anything before...« Another sigh. Lando must've been really exhausting. »But Christ, is there nothing else going on in that little head of his?«
»Probably not...« Lucy hummed, sounding unusually absent.
Oscar frowned, glancing over at her when they stopped at a red light. He was used to having all of her attention when he was speaking, not that it was necessary, it was just Lucy being a very good listener. But now she was staring out the window, eyes unfocused as if she was somewhere far away.
»You alright?«
»Hm?« Lucy finally turned, knocked back into reality when she found the Aussie looking at her with a smile. Her stomach twisted with guiltiness when she realized that she hadn't been paying attention to him at all. »Sorry, I was... thinking. What did you say? Something about Lando being annoying?«
»That sums it up pretty well.« Oscar said, more interested in what was occupying her mind. »So, what's up with you? It's not often that I am the chattier one out of the both of us.«
»Ugh, it's nothing.« With a frustrated grunt Lucy leaned back into her seat, crossing her arms over her chest.
As most of the time lately she'd been thinking about Max. The chokehold he had on her thoughts had only gotten tighter ever since he started being nice to her and almost unbarable with all the kissing that had happened. Constantly she was wonder what he was doing, what he thought about kissing her, what it meant to him, why he'd never tried to her about it... She could never find the answeres, powerless to the never ending steam of questions.
The tortured expression on her face made Oscar doubt her sincerity and while he didn't want to pressure her, he did ask again, »Sure about that? You can tell me, you know. I'm not the gossipy type.«
