Hah, welcome to another domestic chapter! I think there will be a couple of those ahead, now that they are officially on friendly terms. So yey!

I hope you'll like it :)

And enjoy!

Lucy's diary

I have been taken off the funny meds and deeply regret my past actions.
Like what the fuck did I think when I kept calling Max hot? TO HIS FACE?
There were other things too, but fuck I am too embarrassed to even write them down. Oscar got some nice evidence though if anyone ever reads this and wants to see it.
I did want to burry myself in Charles' backyard, but Kyra caught me with the shovel and quickly stepped in. I am now banned from entering the yard without supervision.
So yeah, all in all, my week has been great :)

Max wasn't more than a bundle of nerves, rushing through his apartment, trying to find any imperfections he'd overseen. He'd been cleaning and rearranging for two days now, preparing for Lucy's visit. For the first time in months he'd made a trip to the store to fill his fridge with something other than the pre-prepared meals his nutritionist sent him.

But no matter how often he vacuumed or picked loose strings off the pillows on the couch, it just didn't seem perfect. A glance to the digital clock hanging on his wall showed, that Lucy would be there in about ten minutes.

Exhausted, Max ran a hand through his hair, looking around. Not fully satisfied with what he was seeing he sighed. This would have to do. Maybe he could just talk so much, distract her, so Lucy wouldn't even really pay attention to her surroundings.

He didn't feel ready at all when the doorbell rang, even hesitated to open the door at all. But after three seconds of just standing in front of it, he started feeling stupid and swallowed his nervousness down.

»Hey, Lu-« He frowned at the blonde, who was standing there, hands on her knees, panting like she'd just run a marathon. »Are you okay?«

Her blotchy red face turned somewhat into his general direction and she held up her hand, palm facing him. Then she fished her inhaler out of the tote bag hanging around her shoulder. Getting more worried by the second, Max watched as she used it.

A couple of deep breaths later, Lucy's breathing got more regular again and she was able to straighten up again, flashing the Dutch man an embarrassed grin.

»I had to run.« She explained shortly, gesturing towards the street behind her.

»I guessed as much... Do you want to come inside?« Max stepped aside, letting the blonde girl pass.

He went to the end of the entrance, waiting for her to take her shoes off before leading her to the open living room. He held is breath when she looked around, exhaling quietly when she just smiled and sat down on the couch.

»So, why did you run?« He asked when he'd sat down next to her, turning sideways so he could look at her better. Whatever she was going to say now had to be hilarious, because Lucy would never run on her own free will.

»Well, I told Kyra and Charles that I was going to the library like we said, right? So they wouldn't get suspicious that I'd be gone for a couple of hours.« Max nodded, giving Lucy the green light to continue. »But instead of letting me go on my own, Kyra insisted to drive me, because of my fracture.«
