Lucy's diary
I can't fucking sleep anymore. Well, it's not like I was great at it before, but since the incident with Jos and Max, it's gotten worse.
Closing my eyes just brings it all back, that look on Max's face. It's just fucking horrible.
May and I haven't talked since then either. I'm pretty sure he didn't believe me when I promised him not to write about what happened which hurts a little, but I understand.
We don't know each other very well and his prior experience with journalists is anything but positive.
I just hope I can somehow prove to him that he can trust me...•

There was a two week break to the next race and Christian Horner thought it would be a good idea to invite hit team for an over night stay at his country mansion in England.
So for the third time in three weeks Lucy got the chance to visit a new country. England was the most exciting to her as it had always been on her list of favorite destinations. She flew there in a commercial plane, squished in between a sweaty man who snored the entire flight and a screaming child whose parents were sitting a few rows behind, not caring about their offsprings behavior. »Lucy, I'm so glad you made it!« Christian greeted her with a warm smile before turning to his wife and introducing her. »This is Geri.«
Lucy's eyes went wide, fully taking the woman in and realizing exactly who Geri was. She definitely should have done a google search to inform herself about Horner's family because now she looked like an idiot. Starstuck, mouth open.
»You- you were-«
Geris smile widened, always pleased when someone recognized her - especially younger people. »One of the spice girls, yes.«
»Sorry, I'm being rude and totally out of line. Sorry.« Lucy felt herself blushing and looked down, trying to hide it.
How long had she made it without totally embarrassing herself? Like thirty seconds? Not her best, but definitely not her worst either.
»Don't worry, darling. I appreciate it really.« Geri hummed, noticing the bottle of wine the girl was holding, she found it to be a good change of topic. »Is that for us?«
Lucy's eyes shot up and she awkwardly presented the bottle to the couple. »Yes, I thought it would be appropriate to bring a gift, since you are going through all of this effort and-«
