After Fig left us, my brother and I walked out of central hall and headed down a set of stairs that led us to a courtyard. There was a beautiful statue in the center of the courtyard of some regal looking creature. I cast revelio and there was a page that appeared in front of it.
"Wyvern Fountain" -> 'This is a relaxing place for students to gather; however, there are rumors about a certain Sir Cadagon who claims to have been the one to vanquish this particularly powerful Wyvern, however it's proven to not be true.'
"What do you know? Hogwarts has its own secrets. Though, it's a massive castle with an extensive history, so I was told by my fellow Slytherin classmates; it doesn't surprise me too much that there's plenty of secrets hidden within the castle walls," my brother spoke up after we finished reading the story of Sir Cadagon. We smiled at one another for a second before we walked away from the fountain and into the next doorway our golden path was leading us towards. We passed by a couple ghosts that seemed to be chasing one another, but I couldn't make out their conversation...despite the fact that they were shouting particularly loudly.

After what seemed like forever, we finally found the door to the charms classroom. When I walked in I saw a massive room with two sides of long tables wondering where I could sit, until I heard another woman's voice calling to me so that she could get me to sit with her. "Behind you! There's an open seat here. Hi, my name is Natty, it's nice to meet you," she introduced herself as I sat beside her. I saw my brother sit next to a girl with brown hair pulled back in a ponytail. She was giggling up a storm, but my brother looked rather bored with life...at least until two of his fellow Slytherin classmates sat next to him and he was the happiest guy on the planet. I smiled at him because I was just really glad that he had some friends. One of the boys, a guy with shaggy brown hair looked at me and I immediately recognized him as the kind eyed stranger who walked into the Slytherin room when Professor Weasley took my brother and I to our common rooms. "Well, shall we begin?" a man exclaimed, immediately demanding the attention of everyone in the room.

"My name is Professor Ronan, and I'm the charms professor, obviously. This year is going to be crucial to your growth as wizards. In here we will be learning a whole array of charms, jinxes and different curses as well. So, does anyone remember the difference between the color change and growth charms? Anyone? Anyone? Ah ah ah, it's too late for studying now!" he exclaimed as Natty pushed a book towards me and I had begun flipping pages as quietly as possible. The book suddenly flew through the air and towards Professor Ronan. "Whoa!" I quietly exclaimed, drawing attention to me, including one particular boys' attention, causing a small blush to appear before I shook it away. I was not just some silly school girl, I couldn't let myself feel that for someone I didn't even know yet. "Does anyone remember a basic summoning charm like the one I did? No one. Alright. It seems that we are in dire need of review; turn to page 571. Actually, before we do that, go ahead and get into pairs. You only need one book per pair Miss Dale; now you'll take turns summoning the books out of one another's hands," he stated simply, giving the instructions for how to cast 'Accio' correctly.

Swiftly and precisely, I made my wand move and suddenly, the book flew from Natty's hands and into my waiting ones. "That is not bad," she declared, obviously impressed. The boys, my brother included, arched their eyebrows and crossed their arms with little smirks tracing their faces. "You're a swift learner, but practice makes perfect after all, Miss Potter. Speaking of practice, since it's an exceptionally beautiful day outside and I think we could all use a moment to get some fresh air, let's go on a little excursion. After me!" Professor Ronan declared as he led the way out of Hogwarts and towards the outdoors. I saw my brother up ahead talking with some blonde girl, so I ran up to him and pulled him aside, out of earshot. "Hey, so who's that guy? The brown haired guy that sat down beside you?" I asked, trying not to sound desperate. He laughed before replying, "It's day one and you already have a crush on a guy. Look, I'm not going to enable you. If you want to date the guy, talk to him. Though I'll warn you, I don't think he's in the proper headspace for a relationship. I won't go into detail, friendship privileges and all, but he's got a good reason and if I were in his shoes, I would be doing the same thing."
