The splendor of the castle outside was nothing compared to how beautiful it was inside. The ballroom had a taste of elegance and class, there were several tables with different variety of food available, royal princesses and princes with their magnificent clothing, and at the center was the dance floor where many people were gliding effortlessly. There was also a string of musicians playing classical music that perfected the mood.
Snow's mouth was more agape than mine. "I've never seen something like this before, not even the Spring Ball could compare to this."
"Spring Ball?" I asked.
Snow blushed. "It was a ball I wanted to go to all my life. I finally went."
Selena smiled. "Well, take a picture cause we need to find Prince Charming."
We agreed to split up in order to find Jordan and/or Ms. Sierra. I highly doubted it, so far we hadn't had any luck finding her in any of the stories we've been to. Maybe luck wasn't on our side today. Robin went with me, Ella with Selena, and Snow went by herself. She had plenty of royal princes mooning over her to help her.
Robin flashed me his cute grin. "So, Captain Katie, where should we look first?"
I ignored his teasing and pointed towards the food. "Can we eat something first? I haven't eaten since last night."
"Fine with me. I could use a snack or two."
We headed towards the buffet table and I just grabbed whatever could fit on my plate. All of the food was too regal for me to know what it was so I figured I'd try whatever.
"Katie," Robin whispered so quietly I barely heard what he said. He grabbed my arm and pulled me to the ground, causing my plate to fall and spill food in the ground. Robin crawled under the table and pulled me behind him, the purple tablecloth hid us from prying eyes.
I was on my knees crouched next to Robin, I was steamed. He made me spill extremely good food and I'm pretty sure my body was in pain right now.
"What was that for?" I angrily said.
Robin put his finger on my lips. "Shh." His eyes were serious, no playful gleam in them so I shut up.
He removed his finger and I whispered, "Why are we hiding under the table?"
Robin lifted up the cloth barely to see a girl's dress that was royal blue. He gestured to be quiet and we could hear what she was saying.
"Darn it, that slacker Selena, Snow White, Ella, and Briar Rose are here. That means Katie can't be far behind, I have to get out of here."
Ms. Sierra!
I wanted to grab her ankles and just pull her down, but Robin motioned for me to stay put. He started crawling from under the table and I followed. Robin walked to a royal guard while Ms. Sierra was busy looking in the direction of my friends. The guard widened his eyes as he barked to his comrade and they marched to Ms. Sierra.
I had gotten up as the guards were walking towards Ms. Sisrra, and I raised my eyebrow. "What did you say to them?"
Robin smirked. "That she's a witch, royalty always get freaked out by magic. Ever heard of Snow White's story?"
I slowly nodded in agreement as the guards clamped their hands on Ms. Sierra's arms and started dragging her away. Ms. Sierra struggled and tried to kick them with her feet.
"Unhand me, you fools! I am Her Highness, the Siren! And I will not tolerate this kind of behavior!"
A guard stepped in front of her, squinting his eyes. "No, you witch!"
