Old Love

"A-Alejandro?"

Alejandro blinked and then rushed to me, he wrapped his arms around me and twirled me in the air. I felt so deliriously happy and shocked all at the same time, how was he here? As he set me down, I felt my eyes tear up in happiness. Alejandro looked the same way too.

"Katie? Is it really you my flower?"

I blushed. "Oh, it's me. Only you called me a flower."

Alejandro grinned. "I thought you liked that nickname."

"I never said I didn't."

"Could you guys stop flirting and help us figure out who is this guy?" Selena prompted, but at the same time, she had a big smile on her face.

Alejandro took his hands off my hips as I looked at them. They were all shocked except for Robin, he just looked impassive. I glanced at Alejandro with sheer joy as I said, "Guys, this is Alejandro. He was my childhood friend until I moved away and met y'all. He's also-"

Alejandro interrupted me to grab my hand and intertwine our fingers. "I'm also her boyfriend."

I blinked as Alejandro winked. "Consider this me asking you out. I know that we haven't seen each other in awhile, but at least let's spend time together and be together at last Katie."

Jordan's POV

Katie and that boy, Alejandro, I say in my head with disgust, have been attached together like glue. They're literally side by side holding each other's hands like a new couple. Even Katie and I weren't like that when we were dating! I mean, pretend dating.

I tried my best to ignore them as we questioned the girl what was the key. She kept looking at Alejandro and Katie together with a puzzled expression in her eyes, I guess she also was wondering about their relationship too. She finally said that it didn't have to be a object, it could also be a character from a story.

She volunteered to do it for us, and the door shone brightly. She thanked us for helping her escape and vowed to give her father a few tips on parenting. Using all my strength, I managed to avoid Katie and focus on moving to the next story.

Robin, on the other hand, keeps glaring at Alejandro when he thinks no one is looking. Is he...jealous? He was being rude to Katie earlier but Ella got to her first before I could. I don't understand this boy.

Katie's POV

We decided to set up camp here. The door led us to another forest and it was getting dark, too dangerous with only one flashlight from my backpack. Robin and Jordan set off to find food, Selena made a campfire with her wand, Ella and Snow are helping Briar put up tents, and Alejandro and I are sitting in front of the fire.

I smile brightly at him. I still can't believe he's in front of me, I haven't seen him since the end of last summer. "Alejandro, I really missed you."

Alejandro grins. "Me too, Daisy."

"It's Daisy, now?" I tease and laugh at the same time. Back when we were growing up, he would call me different flowers from Rose to Chrysanthemum. It was something different but lovable all at the same time.

"Yeah, I guess." Alejandro's eyes turned serious. "Katie, you must be wondering how I'm here."

I nodded slowly, I did wonder that but I was swept away in the moment of actually seeing him. "Mmhmm, how are you here?"
