Ruby was resting her head on her hand and staring into the distance before Weiss startles her by slamming her palms on the table.
"I need you to pick a tablecloth." Weiss slides two cloth squares over to Ruby, both seeming to be the same shade of white.
Ruby clearly confused was interrupted by Y/n sliding next to her with a can of soda, tapping one of the cloths Weiss was holding. "This one."
"As if you'd know, I wasn't even asking you, you dolt. That's... that's actually a good choice." Weiss cleared her throat and reluctantly acknowledged Y/n's suggestion. She carefully folded the cloth before turning her attention to something else.
"Wait, weren't they the same color?" Ruby asked, looking at her older brother.
"Nope." He said sipping his soda. "So, why so glum, Sugarplum?"
"I haven't picked out a dress yet, and I'm seriously dreading wearing heels." Ruby sighed, laying on her hands.
Yang, carrying a large speaker appears behind her siblings before setting the speaker down causing them to bounce slightly. "Hey, Y/n when did you get here?"
"Just now," Y/n said, still holding his soda. "And looks like I'm not the only one who needs to make a choice today."
Yang gave Ruby a sympathetic look. "Heels aren't that bad once you get used to them. I promise, it's all about practice and finding the right pair."
Ruby groaned. "I just wish I could wear my combat boots instead."
Weiss looked over from her task. "Combat boots at a formal event? I don't think so, Ruby."
"It's not formal it's a just a school dance. You do know what flats are, right, Rubes?" Y/n continued, "You could go with those. No one said you have to wear heels."
Ruby's face lit up at the idea. "Flats! Why didn't I think of that? That's perfect! Thanks, Y/n!"
Ruby grinned, nodding enthusiastically. "I'll find something that works!"
Yang chuckled and playfully ruffled Ruby's hair. "There you go, little sis! Problem solved."
Weiss, however, was still focused on the decorations, her eyes narrowing at a set of mismatched doilies. "Y/n, since you apparently have good taste, mind helping me with these too?"
"Weiss! I thought we agreed, no doilies!" Yang shouted in annoyance.
Weiss walks up to Yang, pointing in her face. "If I don't get doilies, you don't get fog machines!"
Before the girls argument could fully begin they are interrupted by the sound of doors opening, turning to the door they see Neptune walking in with Sun. "Your dance is gonna have fog machines?"
Weiss suddenly appearing in front of Neptune. "We were thinking about it..." She said, her voice becoming weirdly sweet.
Neptune raised an eyebrow, clearly taken aback by Weiss's sudden shift in demeanor. "Oh, wow, really? That sounds pretty cool."
Sun, who was standing beside Neptune, glanced around the room with curiosity. "Hey, if you're planning on adding fog machines, you might want to think about lighting too. It could really set the mood."
"Thank you, it's not like we didn't think of that or anything." Weiss turned to Sun, irked for some reason.
"Wow, the mood switches are giving me whiplash." Y/n said jokingly, before his scroll pinged. "Sorry Weiss, gotta take a rain check on those doilies. Jaune wants my help with something that sounds more entertaining."
