Ruby & Yang stood together watching as Blake & Weiss continued their argument being no closer to a compromise between them than before.

"I don't understand why this is causing such a problem!"

"That is the problem!"

Weiss shot up from her bed to shout at Blake. "You realize you are defending an organization that hates Humanity, don't you? The Faunus of the White Fang are pure evil!"

Blake now shouting back at Weiss. "There's no such thing as pure evil! Why do you think they hate Humanity so much? It's because of people like Cardin, people like you, that force the White Fang to take such drastic measures!"

"People like me?" Weiss' eyes flared with anger. "What have I ever done to you, Blake? To any Faunus?"

"You're discriminatory!"

"I'm a victim!" Weiss & Blake stare each other down in silence, Weiss leans in close, glaring as she speaks quietly. "You want to know why I despise the White Fang? Why I don't particularly trust the Faunus? It's because they've been at war with my family for years. War, as in actual bloodshed. My grandfather's company has had a target painted across its back for as long as I can remember. And ever since I was a child, I've watched family friends disappear, board members executed, and an entire train car full of Dust, stolen. And every day, my father would come home, furious. And that made for a very difficult childhood.

Ruby goes over to comfort Weiss before she is interrupted by her. "Weiss, I-

"No! You want to know why I despise the White Fang? It's because they're a bunch of liars, thieves, and murderers!"

"Well, maybe we were just tired of being pushed around!"

Silence drops down on the scene again. A surprised Weiss backs away slowly, and Blake realizes her mistake as she looks around at her teammates.

"I... I..." Blake looked down, her voice softening before she bolted out of the dorm Ruby followed her then stopped watching Blake reach the end of the hallway.

"Blake, wait! Come back!"

"Then that's when I ran outside to the statue where you were eating popcorn...at midnight after ditching us in Vale." Blake sipped her tea looking over at Y/n who was preoccupied with a cake. "Are you even listening to me?"

Y/n looked up from the cake, crumbs clinging to his lips. "Huh? Yeah, of course. You ran to the statue after the argument saw me yada yada."

Blake sighed, setting her cup down with a clink. "You know, it's hard enough dealing with all this without feeling like I'm talking to myself."

Y/n wiped his mouth and gave Blake a look. "You brought me to a place like this and expect me not to be distracted by cake? Anyway, it sounds like things got pretty heated and you ran away from your problems not to mention leaving animosity between you and Weiss." Y/n took a bite out of his cake before continuing. "I told you the other day secrets come to light whether you're ready or not, I'm sure Ruby & Yang don't mind those two are too forgiving for their own good Weiss is another story though."

".....I was in the White Fang..."

Y/n paused fork halfway to his mouth. The cake suddenly didn't seem as interesting. He put the fork down, his eyes locking onto Blake's. "You seem insistent on not letting me finish my cake so, tell me all about your troubles Kitty Cat."

Blake nodded, her gaze fixed on her tea as if it held the answers she searched for. "Yes. I was a member when I was younger, you could say I was born into it. Back then, things were different. In the ashes of war, the White Fang was meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between Humans and the Faunus." Dark outlines of two trios animal-eared and tailed Faunus on one side, regular Humans on the other, shaking hands and making peace after their struggle. This does not last long, as seen by a white Faunus cowering in fear of the gray & black aggressors harassing the hybrid. Later, more Faunus are pushing the crowd away from their bullied brethren.
