"Wow! You are much more manageable without that oversized gardening tool of yours." Roman laughed at Ruby, who's arms were tied behind her back

Ruby gets up and charges at Roman, which he simply sidesteps, sending Ruby stumbling across the floor and causing Roman to laugh again.

Ruby struggled against her restraints, glaring at Roman from where she was tied. Her silver eyes burned with defiance, even though she was tied up.

Roman still laughing, ignored her. "Oh man. You know, Perry, I really did need this."

A white Fang soldier assumed to be Perry raises his thumb in agreement as Roman laughs more.

Ruby gritted her teeth, struggling against the ropes binding her wrists behind her back. She shot Roman a fierce glare, her silver eyes burning with anger. Roman, however, was unfazed, still chuckling as he wiped a tear from his eye.

"You Beacon kids really think you're invincible, don't you?" Roman taunted, casually leaning on his cane. "But without your precious scythe."

Just then, Roman turned around at the sound of the two thuds, his smug grin faltering. His eyes narrowed as he saw two of his White Fang goons knocked out cold on the ground, their bodies crumpled against the wall. Standing over them, gripping Thorn in one hand, was Y/n, his gaze sharp and filled with cold fury.

"You know, Torchwick," Y/n started, his voice steady but laced with menace, "you talk a lot for someone who always runs away."

Roman's smirk returned, though it was more forced this time. "Well, well, if it isn't the knight in shining armor. You really should've stayed out of this, kid."

Roman twirled his cane lazily, trying to regain his composure. "You're really starting to get on my nerves, you know that? But, I suppose we can settle this the old-fashioned way." He pointed the cane at Y/n, the hidden barrel inside it aimed directly at him. "Let's see if you're as tough as you act."

Without hesitation, Roman fired a blast of energy from his cane, but Y/n was already moving. He sidestepped the shot, dashing forward with speed that caught Roman off guard. Thorn slashed through the air as Y/n aimed for Roman's midsection, but the criminal barely managed to deflect the blow with his cane, stumbling back in the process.

Roman staggered, his confident grin slipping as Y/n pressed the attack. Thorn clashed against Roman's cane with a shower of sparks, the sound of metal ringing through the chamber. Roman was fast, but Y/n was relentless, his movements precise and calculated. Each strike was aimed to end the fight quickly, his focus solely on Ruby and getting her out of this.

"You really think you can win, kid?" Roman taunted, though his voice was strained as he blocked another powerful swing from Y/n. "You're just a Huntsman-in-training. You don't know what you're getting into."

Y/n's eyes flashed with arrogance. "What does it matter? I got what I wanted." Y/n smirked as an explosion was heard behind Roman.

Roman, looking over his shoulder spots Ruby already halfway down the tracks on her way towards the explosion.

Roman's eyes widened as he spun around, realizing that Ruby had already slipped away while he was distracted by Y/n. She was a blur of red, sprinting down the tracks toward the distant explosion that had just gone off. His trademark grin vanished completely.

"You little!" Roman growled, his voice losing its usual smugness as he whipped back around to face Y/n, fury burning in his eyes. "You think you're clever, distracting me so she could run off? You won't get away with this!"

Y/n just smirked, grabbing the other half of Thorn in it's pistol form. "Shut up, you genetic mishap." Y/n taunts as two more explosions set off followed by White Fang soldiers shooting at an unknown attacker, shortly after the White Fang the remainder of Team RWBY, Oobleck, and Zewi round the corner behind them.
