"What gives?" Ash looked through the dust.

The sounds of laughter caused panic. "Whoever they are, they don't sound friendly," May clenched her teeth.

Professor Juniper and Oshawott ran to the trio, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, thanks, Professor," Ash assured her. The dust started to disperse.

"Pikapi!" Pikachu yelled and pointed to the lab.

Everyone looked where the mouse was pointing. May felt a chill run down her spine when she saw

them. Professor Juniper and Oshawott were startled as well. "No," Ash frowned.

On the lab's roof stood 12 figures in black coats. Their faces remained concealed by their black hoods. They commanded a sinister presence as they stared down Ash and May. "There's more of them," May murmured. She guessed the person who nearly killed Ash in Pallet Town was among them.

"What do you want from us? I was beginning to think we had seen the last of you," Ash snapped at them.

The group laughed again. One of them walked in front of the others. The figure appeared to be the leader. "That's very impolite. I believed we could set our differences aside and become friends." His minions were amused. Ash and May recognized his voice. He was the one who attacked them in Kanto.

"Why can't you just leave us alone," May tried to be brave, but her body trembled. She'd never forget what the stranger did to them.

The man ignored May, "I don't think we ever introduced ourselves." The enigmatic man turned his head to his acquaintances. They all nodded at him, revealing themselves to the couple once they lowered their hoods. Ash, May, and Pikachu's eyes widened when the enigmatic figures revealed themselves. Some of the faces were all too familiar. They recognized Brodie, Hunter J, the Iron-Masked Marauder, Grings Kodai, Zero, Annie, and Phantom. The other individuals were new to them, including the leader, but they were no less threatening.

The teenagers stood frozen as some of their old foes smirked with ill intent. "You remember us, don't you?" Hunter J gave the boy a malicious glare.

"What about you brat-girl? You foiled my plans when I tried to become King of the Sea," Phantom barked at May.

"When you destroyed our plans, we lost everything. We became prisoners or petty thieves," Brodie grumbled.

"Until I gave them purpose," the leader flashed a cold look at his enemies with

his orange eyes. His young, tanned complexion made his hate-filled gaze look fiercer. His shoulder-length hair was gray with bangs, and he spoke with a deep but monotone voice. "You may not be familiar with some of my other cohorts." The orange-eyed menace presented the four faces they failed to recognize.

The first person was a man around the same age as the others. He had turquoise hair that matched his turquoise eyes. The stranger formed a half-smirk. "Archer, meet Ash and May" the leader introduced the couple. Archer smirked at the couple when he stepped up.

"And I'm Silver," one of the younger cohorts stole the spotlight. "Got it memorized?" the young man teased. He appeared slightly older than Ash and May. He had long, red hair and the smile of a trickster. Silver looked back at his comrade, "Hey, Cloud, don't be shy. Come say hi." Cloud rolled his eyes when Silver called him to the front with Omega. Their leader found Silver's antics peculiar. "Hi," the awkward Cloud presented himself. He was about Silver's age but had ocean-blue eyes and spiky blonde hair.
