As strong as N's Frosslass, Rhyperior, and Shiftry were, they could not compete against the enhanced power of Shadow Pokémon. The leader of Team Plasma looked at his three Pokémon. They tired in comparison to Klinklang, Rampardos, and Ditto. "This could be our final stand, my friends. Let's make it count," N smiled, ready to face his fate for the greater good.

"What a fool," a delighted Charon chuckled.

Just as they were about to finish N and his Pokémon, a powerful Fire Blast destroyed the entrance to the Strange House, causing the foundations to shake and its arches to collapse. Fortunately, N and his Pokémon avoided it. The Fire Blast burned the three Shadow Pokémon, knocking them out in a single blow. "What on Earth?" Brodie turned to the ruined entrance and saw Reshiram enter the destroyed foyer.

"Reshiram," N looked at the mighty white dragon with relief. The Vast White Pokémon roared and fired a Fusion Flare at Brodie, Charon, and Archer.

Archer tried to use dark energy to create a barrier to protect themselves, but Fusion Flare was too powerful. Charon felt his essence fade away with the fire. The old man yelled, "Darn it all!"

Brodie let himself get consumed by the fire; he welcomed his inevitable demise. Archer knew he could not withstand Reshiram's power and disappeared amongst the blue flames.

"Reshiram held nothing back," Genesis entered the foyer, witnessing the fireworks. N was astonished by how the white dragon crushed his opponents.

Not too far behind, Zekrom and Victini entered with Iris, Cilan, Hilda, Hilbert, Cloud, and Silver. N was relieved to see they had all made it in one piece. "Vicious, Annie, and Kodai?" N asked Genesis.

"Zekrom saw to that. Victini freed the remaining Genesect from Shadow Energy," Genesis relayed the news.

"Let's make sure we purify all the Pokémon in this room," Iris noticed the Legendary birds and the other Pokémon lying defeated.

"I'll help," Cilan pulled out purified gems with Iris.

"Victini and the dragons have amazing power. I don't know how we would've fared without them, considering all the advantages Omega gave his puppets," N was relieved that they prevailed.

"We're almost there," Hilda told the older trainer.

"Did Ash and May go up?" Hilbert asked N, who nodded.

"They might be at the top by now," Silver assumed.

A worried Cloud clenched his fists, "Yeah, they must be."

"You alright?" Silver looked at him.

"I'm fine," Cloud looked away, hiding his concern for the couple.

Genesis closed his eyes for a moment to sense their aura. He spoke, "We have to move fast." Genesis had them hurry up the ruined stairs. Victini got a head start but looked back when it heard something.

Suddenly, Archer limped out in front of them. The blue-haired criminal clung to life as he slowly faded into nothing. "You're not going anywhere yet, traitors," Archer glared at Genesis, Cloud, and Silver.

"Stand aside," Genesis warned as Zekrom prepared to finish Archer for good with a Thunderbolt.

Archer gave a sinister smile. With his dying breath, he made one last command, "Activate Protocol Black." Archer dropped to the ground, and his body dispersed into black dust. Suddenly, the walls revealed two turrets with lasers aimed at Zekrom and Reshiram.
