Ash, May, and the Pokémon emerged from the wormhole and into uncharted territory. "Whoa," Ash looked around.

"It's so vast," May was also in awe. Their Pokémon couldn't make out anything familiar in the dimension. The atmosphere was a purplish black. Small and large rock formations floated around like islands.

"How are we supposed to find him here?" Ash tried to find signs of life.

Suddenly, they heard a loud explosion and saw a bright beam illuminate Ultra Space in the distance. Ash and May focused their eyes on the source. "Time for May's Expeditions," May framed the source of the light with her hands.

"Let's get this finale on the road," a lighthearted Ash smiled.

"Blaziken, get some rest for right now. We'll take it from here," May returned Blaziken for the time being. "Now for our ride," the coordinator threw the Master Ball. As soon she threw the Pokéball, Dialga emerged to give a loud shriek. The Temporal Pokémon kneeled for them to board. "I never thought I'd end up steering a Dialga," May tried to grasp the surrealness of the situation when she climbed on.

"First time for everything," Ash chuckled, climbing on with Pikachu.

"Dialga, take us there!" May pointed in the beam's direction.

Dialga roared and took off. Ash, May, and Pikachu took glimpses of their surroundings and wondered what mysteries lay in this world. They wouldn't get to find out, but that didn't matter now. The couple was here to finish what it started. Dialga landed where the light had come from. That's where Omega waited with Origin Form Giratina. Ash and May saw the Griseous Orb in Omega's hand glowing. "He's powered up Giratina," Ash realized.

Ash, May, and Pikachu glared at their foe when they hopped off Dialga. Dialga roared at his corrupted comrade, attempting to get through the Renegade Pokémon's corruption but to no avail. Shadow Giratina let out a screech in response to Dialga. "I am glad you came," Omega smirked.

"Is that so?" a miffed May raised an eyebrow.

"It's over," Ash flung his arm out. Pikachu stood ready to pounce.

Omega looked at Giratina. "You know, I learned of an old story while I studied and learned aura in Sinnoh. According to the story, this was when the region was still considered Hisui. In Hisui, a Pokémon trainer existed who tried to use Giratina to defeat Arceus. The trainer was powerful but failed to get Arceus to reveal itself. He created a tear in space and time to draw out the Alpha Pokémon, but he and Giratina lost before he could even face Arceus. That same story kept popping up in different iterations throughout my travels in your world." The trainer recounted.

"Spare us the history lesson," May sassed him.

Omega ignored her comment. "Unlike my predecessor, I discovered a different way to draw out Arceus. One far more personal." Suddenly, Ash and May recognized where he was getting at. "Ash, you are the key to summoning Arceus," Omega pointed at him.

"The key, how?" Ash was puzzled. May and Pikachu looked at Ash.

"As fate would have it, you have a bond that bounds you to Arceus. To my knowledge, you are the only mortal bound to Arceus. I learned of your endeavors while I was in the future. You saved Arceus from humans that betrayed it in Ancient Michina Town. Not only that, but you saved Michina Town from Arceus's rampage. Arceus continued to watch over you when you saved Heatran from Team Galactic and freed Dialga and Palkia from Team Rocket in a not-so-distant future. The creator of the universe acknowledged your heroic efforts and formed a bond with you because it deemed you worthy. In the future, experts dub it a "bond phenomenon," but records only highlight bonds between trainers and non-Legendary Pokémon. I believe you share a bond phenomenon with Arceus. I've studied your adventures, Ash, and your experiences with the Pokémon of Legends. No one has lived through the story you've lived. Arceus protects you. Arceus is in you. When you are dead, Arceus will come, and I will use Giratina to defeat and take control of its power like I have done with the many Pokémon under my command," the man fixed on Ash.
