"Oh sweet many mothers of Zeus' children," Connor muttered in irritation when Theodore fell on his shoe-less foot again.

Adora's new friend didn't speak much, but she still adored him.

Connor was pretty much okay with it, but Violet was extremely irritated.

Oh, if you're wondering who Theodore is, he's Adora's pet rock that she found on a random wall.

Why she'd called him Theodore was a great mystery to Connor.

Currently, Adora held the rock close to her ear. "Theodore says he's okay and he thanks Connor for softening his fall!" she said eagerly.

Connor glared at the rock.

"I didn't hear anything!!" Violet said sarcastically.

"Isn't he adora-ble," Adora said, laughing at her own joke.

"It's not violet though, it's gray," Violet deadpanned, making a bad joke to match Adora's. "Are we nearly there, Connor?"

"Theodore says we're nearly there!" Adora said eagerly.

"Theodore is a ROCK!!" Violet said, throwing her hands in the air.

"Alright Elmo and Zoe, keep it down," Connor said.

"... Who?" Adora said.

"... Elmo and Zoey and Rocco?" Connor said. "Sesame Street?"

Violet, Adora, and Theodore stared at him.

"You— You never watched Sesame Street?" Connor said disbelievingly.

"I like sesame seeds on burgers," Adora offered, "and so does Theodore."

"Theodore doesn't eat because HE'S A ROCK!" Violet said.

"I seriously wonder what today's youth are watching," Connor said. "Minecraft videos?"

At the end of their group, Loyal, Andrés, and Raven were chatting about their given name.

"I'm pretty sure there were better options than Jarlan 5," Raven grumbled.

"Agreed," Andrés said.

"Something that wouldn't include a number that doesn't even mean a number," Raven said.

"He meant well, Connor just wanted to make us laugh," Loyal said, smiling with those blue eyes so similar to Connor's.

Andrés and Raven shrugged.

"Still, how about the... Seven of Spades, or, I dunno," Andrés said.

"Kids Connor's Saving probably would've worked too," Raven said.

Iris, who was right behind, smiled warmly at them.

In front of them, Jinny noticed Nino walking quietly in front of her. His eyes were low, as if he were deep in thought, worried.

"Are you okay?" she asked him.

He jumped and looked at her. He was maybe half a head taller than her.

"Oh, nothing. Nothing in particular."

She pinched her lips but nodded. That wasn't true.

"I'm a bit happy we don't have those hats anymore. They were really scary to wear," she said.

She remembered how passionate he'd been about fire, describing fireproof materials in detail. She hadn't understood a word of what he'd been saying, but maybe he'd talk to her if she brought it up, and maybe talking about it would make him feel better.
