Down below, Katie and Travis were fighting a new enemy.
She appeared to be an elderly woman with white hair. She wore a red shawl, a green coat, and a yellow ankle-length skirt. She held a bronze shield and a bronze sword. Her eyes were a very, very dark green.
"Who are you!?" Travis shouted as he flew over her sword swipe.
"DIE, CHILDREN OF OLYMPUS!" she screamed.
She tried to skewer Katie but a large oak tree grew in front of her, taking the blast. Katie closed her eyes and sent the tree an apology. Then, she climbed up the tree, as quickly as a squirrel.
The woman tried to pull her sword out of the tree but the tree's bark started growing over it, turning it into Arthur's sword in the stone.
Or Katie's sword in the tree. She nodded at Travis and jumped down, with a battle cry, her dagger in hand, upon the enemy.
She managed to slice the wrinkly skin on her right shoulder, making a deep gash.
The woman let out a scream of pain. She let go of her sword and grasped at her bleeding shoulder.
Quicker than lightning, Travis pulled the tie from the airport out of his backpack and tied the woman's arms behind her back.
Katie pushed her down on her knees.
"Holy crap, guys, are you alright!?"
Connor and Rose jumped down from the air.
"We're okay, but she isn't," Katie said, "she's bleeding out."
"Who are you?" Travis questioned the prisoner.
The old woman glared at him with deep hate and kept her mouth clamped shut.
"Let me," Rose said.
She touched her necklace and her bow appeared in her hand. She knocked in a poison ivy arrow and pointed it at the old woman's forehead.
Her eyes widened and filled with terror.
"Go ahead, Travis, ask again," she said, glaring at the prisoner with those stern.
"Who are you?" he repeated (for the third time).
The old woman shook her head.
Rose tensed her bow.
"Answer the question or face the consequences!" she ordered.
Connor, on the side, couldn't help but smile stupidly.
"My name is Alcina Horn. An unclaimed demigod," she admitted begrudgingly.
"You're a demigod!?" Connor stepped up disbelievingly. "But you're so... uh..."
"Old?" Alcina said. "Ha! Only a strong woman such as me could live as long!"
Rose glared at her and stretched her bowstring. Alcina shut up.
"Why did you attack us?" Travis said.
"And stick to the truth, I'll know if you don't!" Rose said.
"She's right, she's read 164 psychology books," Katie butted in, "like The Art of Lying."
"I work for Kronos," Alcina admitted.
Katie's mouth fell half open. "Holy mother of Hera," she muttered.
"I won't say anymore!"
Rose rolled her eyes and stretched her bowstring again.
"Who are you to Kronos?" Travis asked.
