"Iris is now my favorite goddess. She's the only one I will ever pray to," Rose said after the group of 11 demigods had piled out of the motel door and into the outside parking lot.

They'd just found an amazing white RV with bright windows, with a bright rainbow sticker on the rear, and a plate that read "RA1N80W".

They'd found it unlocked and climbed in. There was 1 driver's seat and 11 passenger seats. Each passenger seat had a built-in TV screen in front of it.

Incredulous, Rose sat down in the passenger seat beside the driver's seat and searched the glove compartment. She found a basic, paper manual.

Flipping through it, she found out that it was a self-driving, self-cleaning van, that drove double the speed of a normal car, and was perfectly protected by the Mist. At the bottom of the last page, it was signed "Ίρις".

"Thank you, Iris, for this kind blessing," she whispered, eyes closed.

Then she turned around to all the passengers, who were making the loudest racket, which was starting to make her head hurt.

"If I may have everyone's attention!" she called, clapping her hands twice.

Everyone quieted down.

"Thank you! This will be quick. You may sit wherever you like, and watch movies and series on the screens. This van is a gift from Iris. It self cleans, but I would like for you all to avoid messes anyway."

"Epic!" Nino said. "I thought self-driving cars existed only in cartoons!"

"As you may already know, a drive from San Francisco to Long Island takes about 43 hours-"

"We didn't!" Connor called, unhelpfully, from the back of the van.

Rose rolled her eyes. "-but this van goes double the normal speed, so it should take us around 22 hours and a half. It is currently-" she checked her watch, "-8.28 a.m.. Bathroom breaks will occur every two hours, starting at 10.30. Lunch will be at 12.30 p.m., and dinner at 6.30 p.m.. We will arrive in New York between 7 and 8 a.m. tomorrow morning, depending on how long our bathroom breaks take and if we have any complications. When we arrive, we will have breakfast. Any questions?"

After a moment, Andrés raised his hand.

"Yes, Andrés?" Rose said.

"Won't we be breaking the law if we go double the speed?" he asked.

"And won't we need to stop for gas if we're driving for a day?" Violet added.

"What the Hades...?" Connor muttered. These kids were asking extremely advanced questions for their age. It made him slightly uncomfortable.

"Andrés, this van is magic, so people won't even see it go by," Rose explained calmly, "and Violet, the answer to your question is the same, the van is magical, and won't run out of gas."

"Thank you!" Violet and Andrés said simultaneously.

"Alright!" Rose said eagerly. "Everybody sit down, fasten your seatbelts, and we're off!!"

The kids were having a blast. Some started watching Disney movies together while others watched their favourite animated series. Travis and Katie had started watching the Avengers together, cuddling.

Connor had spent his time sleeping. He was still exhausted.

Rose, on the other hand, had kept her eyes on the clock and the GPS.

They made it to Winnemucca, Nevada, in around 4 hours, instead of the 6 it would've taken them with a regular van.

They'd lost an hour because of their 2 bathroom breaks, during one of which they'd lost 4 of the children. They'd found them after a panic stricken 40 minutes. After that, Travis, Rose, Katie, and Connor, had started to be extremely wary of them, doing headcounts every 5 minutes.
