Y/n had spent the next week avoiding her friends as much as she could, spending much of her free time with the black dog she now recognised to be Sirius- who looked so much like what many imagined the Grim to look like, most people avoided her anyway. She didn't want to avoid her friends, but she was feeling rather guilty for harbouring a fugitive, not to mention, she didn't think her friends would be too thrilled should she let something slip and let them know she was helping who they'd believed to be a mass murderer, how would she even explain that?

Surprisingly, though he had to stay in the form of a dog at all times, he was surprisingly good company, though he couldn't speak, Y/n could if she wanted go into his mind and they could communicate that way, and they'd also found a way to communicate without words (something muggles often used in their military called 'Moose Code', what the horned animal had to do with it Y/n didn't know).

Most of the time they'd spent together, was spent looking for Scabbers, though she knew Ron had insisted that the rat had been killed by Crookshanks, neither Y/n, nor Sirius were so sure. A few times, Y/n had sworn they'd seen him, but before that either Y/n or Sirius could grab him, the rat darted off.

On the 12th of February, they'd had a Hogsmeade visit, Angel and Y/n had plans to go together, as he'd joked:

"As an early Valentines Day date, yeah?"

Y/n didn't find that very funny.

After getting ready to go to Hogsmeade and a brief argument with Sirius ('No, you can't come with me.' 'No I don't care, I'm hanging out with a friend and I don't want to risk you getting caught and then the both of us going to Azkaban.') Y/n exited the common room and walked down to the Entrance Hall where Angel had been waiting for her.

"You didn't want to go with your other friends?" Y/n asked as the two joined the line of students walking to Hogsmeade.

"No, I didn't really fancy being kicked out of shops again because James called the store owners Fascist... or was a Fascist, or openly supportive of Fascism... or basically just acting like a terrible human being." Angel spoke.

"Really?" Y/n asked.

"Yeah, it's happened every single time we've hung out, it's gotten to the point where we all have taken bets to how long it'll take for him to get arrested... and for what, and then a separate bet on when he becomes the next worst dark wizard." Angel stated.

"What if he never does?" Y/n asks.

"Then everyone wins." Angel sighed as the two entered Honeydukes "You want anything?"

The two spent the next while wandering through the village, until deciding to wander up towards the Shrieking Shack (Angel insisting he carry all the shopping for Y/n), Y/n ended up having to drag Angel up the slope because he kept complaining some new body part was hurting from carrying the shopping (even though he'd done that to himself), however, as the two had reached the top of the slope, they stopped in their tracks as Malfoy came running down the hill, Crabbe and Goyle following close behind.
