On the 23rd of August, Y/n had awoken early, she didn't know why, perhaps so she could avoid a lecture from her mother about being lazy, perhaps it was excitement for the Quidditch World cup in two days (with her father being a Quidditch player who'd managed to get himself put on the Ireland team after England lost, Y/n would get free box seats), perhaps it was the (what she hoped was) nightmares that plagued her nights ever since Pettigrew had escaped, or perhaps it was the fact school was approaching and both she and her sister would be out of that house for the rest of the year.
No matter what the reason was, Y/n was awake, and with lack of anything better to do, Y/n thought, she'd really ought to send a letter to Harry (since he'd sent her about five by now with no response)

Y/n stopped, what exactly would she write? She hadn't seen him since her birthday, and it wasn't like she'd sent him many letters that summer, most of them had ended up hidden in a small shoebox under her bed... next to two much larger boxes one filled with the letters she'd had intended to send to her friends but decided against, they didn't need to know what was happening, and the other filled with all the letters and gifts Harry had ever sent or given her.
Y/n looked down at the parchment for a while, trying to think of what to write in the letter, before she reached under her bed and pulled out the overflowing box, rifling through it until she'd found the most recent letter. She'd yet to open it. She bit her lip as she considered finally opening that envelope, before gently placing it back in the box. And looking back down at the parchment.
