Y/n had been awoken on Christmas morning by Hermione, who'd poured water over her head.

"Morning." Y/n groaned, sitting up tiredly "Y'know you could've- like- asked me nicely to wake up."

"I did. It didn't work, now c'mon, you made me promise not to open presents without you." Hermione spoke, pulling the witch up.

The two, as they'd started to do the year before, (though they'd had Fawn, Sable and Maia with them then), pulled over two of the bean bags that the girls had stowed in the corner of the room the year prior to the space between their beds, and brought their presents to the middle.

"Alright, this one's from me." Y/n hummed, pushing over the neatly wrapped present she had gotten for the girl.

Hermione delicately unwrapped the gift Y/n had gotten her and grinned.

"You remembered I wanted this book?" Hermione asked, sounding utterly touched as she gazed down at the book.

"Obviously, I pay attention to the things you like Hermione." Y/n grinned "Like Ronald."

"Shut up." Hermione groaned, face flushing "Don't make me bring up Harold."

Y/n rolled her eyes, shaking off the warmth that had crept up her cheeks.

"Hermione I am not afraid to cast a blood curse on you." Y/n threatened, causing Hermione to grin.

"Speaking of... I bought you this." Hermione spoke, handing the girl her present.

Y/n smiled, unwrapping the gift, eyes widening as she saw what Hermione had given her.

"This is a book on blood curses." Y/n breathed.

"Yeah, now you're not making empty threats when you threaten to cast them."

Y/n laughed softly putting it to the side, along with the snacks Hermione had also brought for her.

"Should we open the other girls gifts?" Hermione asked, glancing at the other gifts from Fawn, Sable, Maia and Y/ns family members.

Y/n nodded, as Hermione brought one of the gifts forward, Y/n doing the same. It took the two around ten minutes to open all of their gifts, having now put them in the corner.

"Alright... what now?" Hermione asked.

"Oh! Wait, I have another gift for you!" Y/n grinned.

"Oh?" Hermione hummed.

"You know how you have Crookshanks, right?"

"Yes..."

"And you know how you were supposed to be getting an owl instead of Crookshanks?"
